Juventus Football Club was founded in Durban by Giuseppe (Joe) Pieri in 1966. Having lived in Umkomaas for five and a half years, Joe had a vision of emulating their successful soccer team, Saiccor, an all Italian team, which was well supported by the local Italian community and their solidarity and fanatic support impressed Joe.
