Chris Doody - CEO

Chris serves as LumeNXT's Chief Executive Officer, and brings over 10 years of experience in healthcare sales and business development to the leadership team. Chris is a sales and growth focused executive, with a particular interest in new product development and early stage sales strategy. Chris has been a Founder or CEO of four different healthcare startups, has overseen and executed co- development partnerships with some of the medical device industry's leading companies, and has developed an extensive network of third party independent medical device representatives across the U.S. In addition to serving as LumeNXT's CEO, Chris also serves as President of Fidelis Medical LLC, an innovator of specialty medical / procedural kits and advanced wound care applications, as well as the Founder / President of Freestone Medical LLC, a third party sales organization specializing in medical device sales to physicians and hospitals. Prior to his current roles, Chris was the founder / CEO of SensorMed, Inc., a medical device startup that focused on bioimpedance applications for laparoscopic access. Chris received his B.S. from Auburn University in 2001, and his M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee in 2008 with a concentration in Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

José Bohorquez

José Bohorquez, PhD has more than 15 years of experience leading technology and product development. His areas of expertise include biosensors and medical devices, integrated circuits, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Previously, Dr. Bohorquez was co-founder and CEO of Myolex (a.k.a. Skulpt), where he led the development and commercialization of one medical device and two award-winning consumer devices. He was also previously a Principal Consultant at T-Var Semiconductor and a Senior Engineer at Bitwave Semiconductor. He has co-authored fifteen peer-reviewed publications, four issued patents, and ten pending patents. Dr. Bohorquez has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Florida (suma cum laude). He also holds a PhD in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT with a minor in business administration from the Sloan School of Management. He has received several honors and awards including the MIT Presidential Fellowship, the University of Florida Gator100 Award, two CES Innovation Awards, and the Best of What's New Award from Popular Science.

Marc Beer - Chairman, Founder

Marc Beer brings more than 25 years of development and commercialization experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, devices, and diagnostics to his new role as Chairman of the Board. Marc brings more than 25 years of development and commercialization experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, devices, and diagnostics. Marc founded Renovia with Ramon Iglesias, MD and Yolanda Lorié in August 2016 and successfully closed a Series A financing with leading healthcare venture capital funds. Marc is the former Chief Executive Officer of Aegerion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: AEGR). Aegerion is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the development and commercialization of innovative therapies for patients with debilitating rare diseases. Marc took the company public in October 2010. The Company's first marketed product, JUXTAPID® (lomitapide) was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in December 2012 for homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. During his tenure, JUXTAPID obtained marketing approval in 36 countries. Additionally, Aegerion acquired its second product, MYALEPT® (metreleptin), approved in the US for generalized lipodystrophy, an ultra-rare disease. In April 2000, Marc became the Founding CEO of ViaCell (NASDAQ: VIAC), a biotechnology company specializing in the collection, preservation, and development of umbilical cord blood stem cells, and over a period of seven years led the company from its inception to a rapidly growing and robust commercial organization. Under Marc's leadership, the company grew to more than 300 employees, went public in 2005 and was ultimately acquired in 2007 by PerkinElmer (NYSE: PKI). While serving as CEO of ViaCell, Marc also served as a member of the board of directors of Erytech Pharma (NASDAQ: ERYP), a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company. Prior to ViaCell, Marc held various positions within Genzyme, most recently as Vice President of Global Marketing where he was responsible for the commercial launch of several products addressing rare disease populations on a global scale. Prior to Genzyme, he held a variety of sales and marketing roles in the pharmaceutical and diagnostic divisions of Abbott Laboratories (NYSE: ABT). He also was a former member of the Mass Life Science Board of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and served on the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) Emerging Companies Section Governing Board. Marc was also Founding Chairman of the board of directors and chairman of the compensation committee of Good Start Genetics, Inc., recently acquired by InVitae (NASDAQ: NVTA). He is the Founding Chairman of the board, chairman of the compensation committee and member of the audit committee of Minerva Neurosciences Inc. (NASDAQ: NERV); and a member of the Miami University Business Advisory Council and previously a member of the Notre Dame Research and Commercialization Advisory Committee and Notre Dame Graduate Studies Research and Advisory Council. Marc holds a BS from Miami University (Ohio).

Michael Nordmeyer - CTO

Michael is an accomplished engineer with over thirty years of design and manufacturing experience working with national and multinational corporations around the globe. Having numerous patents in the medical and electro-mechanical device fields, Michael's approach to design is as widely varied as it is recognized. He has built lasting industry relationships based on trust, dedication, and shared values. After serving an apprenticeship in tool and die, Michael spent twenty three years as the Chief Designer and Sales Director for Bihler of America, a multinational automation and contract manufacturing group. At Bihler, he led multiple teams of design and development engineers in the production of hundreds of turnkey manufacturing systems in diverse industries. Michael's creative, hands-on approach to solving critical design problems has helped him build a reputation of excellence and collegiality. Through his projects, hundreds of millions of dollars of manufacturing was brought back the United States. Michael created a start-up medical device company and developed a single-use disposable surgical light with 510K classification. Over a 10-month period, Michael took the product from inception through manufacturing, including the required FDA approval process, marketing, and national sales distribution. Michael went on to partner in the successful start-up and sale of a Florida based medical device company, New Wave Surgical. He and his partners drove to improve product design and manufacturing technology in order to streamline, lower costs, and improve quality and output. Sales and marketing strategies took them from 11k/yr. devices to 500k/yr. in 4 years. They made the "Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies" list in 2012. Michael has earned numerous patents in the medical and wiring device industries based on innovative design and manufacturing ingenuity. Focus has been on devices for the treatment of pelvic floor disorders, surgical suture needle design and manufacturing, the residential circuit breaker, AFCI and GFCI devices.

Robin S. Horrell M.

Robin S. Horrell M.D, Ph.D. is the Chief Medical Officer for LumeNXT where he focuses on strategies to improve surgical visualization. Robin has a variety of technical interests applicable to medicine, having formerly co-founded NeuroDynamX Inc. (1988), a company involved in the development of artificial intelligence software for decision-making through the interpretation of complex data sets. He holds two patents and owns IP related to medical and surgical illumination involving LED instrumentation through his company Dynamic Light, LLC. (1996). He was once a proficient computer programmer. Dr. Horrell also serves as the Surgical Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO), Past Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology and a fulltime practicing Otolaryngologist Head and Neck surgeon at Billings Clinic, an integrated medical foundation healthcare organization, located in Billings, Montana. He has specialized interest in endocrine surgery. As CMIO Dr. Horrell primarily focuses on physician work-flow, and visualization strategies for medical information. Dr. Horrell obtained his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, and completed his internship/residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Louisville. He also holds BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering (1985, 1987, and 1991). His post-graduate engineering degrees were earned from the California Institute of Technology (CalTech). His BS was earned at the University of Colorado.

Stephen Schueler, currently CEO of Enerjen Capita l is a board advisor for LumeNXT. Schueler has vast consumer, technology and industrial experience from his previous global roles. Schueler currently serves as Chairman of Maritime Capital. He is also the Chief Executive Officer for Enerjen Capital and an advisor for Solvoyo, Warehowz, International Flight Support (ifs.aero) and Blu Agua. Prior to LumeNXT, Schueler was Chief Commercial Officer at A.P. Moller - Maersk, the world's largest shipping logistics company, where he was responsible for its 374 global offices across 114 countries, a member of the Executive Board, Chief Executive Officer for the Safmarine Shipping Line, and responsible for all Commercial Operations. Before A.P. Moller - Maersk, Schueler was the Global Head of Retail Sales and Marketing at Microsoft. He started his career at Procter & Gamble where he worked in Latin America, Asia and Europebefore becoming the Global Head of Retail Operations. Stephen Schueler, currently CEO of Enerjen Capital will become a board advisor for LumeNXT.
