The Manitoba Kendo Club was founded in the late 1960's and became a member of the Canadian Kendo Federation in 1968, a relationship that continues to thrive to this day... The Manitoba Kendo Club is a competitively active dojo (training hall) and regularly competes across Canada in taikai (tournaments). However the foundation of training at the Manitoba Kendo Club is focused on developing kendo as a lifestyle and lifelong activity... The Manitoba Kendo Club is one of the oldest kendo dojo in Canada, practicing and promoting kendo for over 50 years.
