MUSWELL HILL CHESS

Muswell Hill is a friendly club offering a wide selection of activities to beginners as well as experts. Our members have a wide range of ages and in strength range from novices to those with gradings about 200. Several of our players are in the 130 strength range. We are one of the few clubs in London who hold a yearly all-play-all chess championship; this offers around 12 clock games against players with a wide range of abilities. We have two teams in the Middlesex League, our first team (at present in Division 1), and our second team (at present in Division 2), both with 8 boards. Each season we hold a Blitz Championship and a Christmas Blitz, a Find the Move competition, and our Club has a chess lending library available to all members.
