Amber Grant

As receptionist in our Statesville office, Amber greets clients and visitors with a smile. Born and raised in Statesville, she is thrilled to serve our client base-many of whom reside in her hometown. She is a recent graduate of Mitchell Community College where she served as President of the Student Government Association. The role provided valuable experience planning, preparing, and hosting events-activites which translate directly to her role here at Opus. Prior to joining our team, Amber worked as a Generalist at the college-gaining knowledge of office procedures and developing keen organizational skills.

Carole W. Hendrix - VP

For more than 20 years, Carole has played a key role in the financial success of her client base. As a Retirement Planning Specialist, she focuses on helping individuals save for retirement. And as those clients enter retirement years, Carole works with them to maximize income and see that it lasts for their lifetime. Carole works on both sides of Qualified Plans-helping business owners manage fiduciary responsibilities while educating employees on the importance of saving for retirement and making suitable investment selections. Carole is well known for her support of the local community. She is an active member and supporter of the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce. She is passionate about her work with Iredell Friends of the Library and the Statesville Woman's Club. Several boards and advisory committees have benefited from Carole's leadership and participation. Carole's most rewarding work has taken place in the home as a wife and mother.

Cindy B. Johnson

Cindy joined Opus Financial Advisors over more than 25 years ago working as Jim's assistant. The team quickly realized that her passion for customer service and impressive efficiency could benefit all Opus clients. Over the years, she has worn many hats and continues to be the organizational bedrock of the firm. She remains an integral part of the Opus family currently serving as Office Manager and head of Client Services. Cindy is committed to service daily meeting account servicing needs and filling research requests. When not in the office, Cindy is busy serving at Welcome Baptist Church-primarily as Director of Music. She and her husband, Eddie, love vacationing and seeing all that different areas of the world have to offer. Cindy B. As a Ensemble Group Advisor, Janna advocates for the promotion of relevant financial literacy and transparency within the financial planning industry. She received a Masters in Accounting degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1998. Janna enjoyed a successful career with IBM in Research Triangle Park as a finance and accounting manager. After 13 years with IBM, she chose to invest her time, talent, and resources into her growing family. She was a Board Member and Treasurer for Christ Church Preschool and served a three year tenure on the Church Finance Committee. She continues her service by volunteering with Chatham County Habitat for Humanity and Woods Charter School in various leadership positions. Participating on the Family Services and Mortgage Management Committees at Habitat, she helps families understand the importance of managing money and creating a sound strategy for future success. At Woods Charter School, she was an elected member of the School Board for eight years and served as the School's Treasurer and chief steward of the School's financial resources.

Josh Wonders

Josh is a young professional with 8 years of management and customer service experience. He is passionate about helping others improve their lives in any way possible. Along with direct support to CEO Nina Lloyd, Josh brings wonderful service to our clients and visitors as well as supporting the Chapel Hill office with their every-day needs. Josh recently moved back to North Carolina after growing up in the area and living in Florida for some time. He is excited to contribute to the success of Opus and its clients. He spends his time away from the office adventuring with his partner Annie and their two cats, Frida and Grayson.

Lisa Fox

Lisa is an Ensemble Group Advisor in our Statesville office and valued member of the greater Opus team. She provides efficient and compassionate support to our client base. She is integral in our client onboarding experience and is responsible for the creation of new accounts across the Ensemble Group and other advisors in our Statesville office. She is licensed in both Property & Casualty and Life & Health Insurance. She finds great joy working with people and helping them take important steps to better their lives. She particularly delights in helping families with college planning and sharing relevant tips learned through her recent personal experience guiding her daughters in the planning process for their college education. Lisa spent many years homeschooling her children. During this time, she led Girl Scout Troops, taught numerous children via homeschool Co-op, delivered Meals on Wheels, and served her community in other meaningful ways. She and her husband, Clyde, have two daughters, Caitlyn and Lindsay. Both girls played competitive soccer and continue to play at the collegiate level. She loves watching the girls play and spending time with her family.

A native of the Rochester, NY area, Martin now lives in Apex with his wife, Elizabeth, and two children, Dylan and Graham. Martin is a lifelong baseball fan. He and his family enjoy exploring the outdoors, visiting friends and family, and planning adventures together. Recognizing the importance of adopting sensible money habits at an early age, Martin enjoys volunteering and participating in community outreach activities which promote childhood financial literacy programs.

Michelle Daniel

Michelle has been in the financial industry since 2015, starting as an Opus Paraplanning Intern. She rejoined the Opus family in March of 2019. Michelle provides a wide range of of advice and support to the Ensemble Group team and client base. She is essential to our greater team's organization, efficiency, and long term vision. Michelle speaks fluent Spanish and is hailed as the firm's tech guru. She can often be found helping clients with online access issues or beta testing new software prior to teamwide implementation. Michelle is particularly passionate about helping people in need of a budget, plan to reduce debt, or their first investment account. She has lead numerous Financial Peace University classes, attended, and successfully completed Dave Ramsey's Financial Coach Master Training Series. Originally from New England, Michelle is a Tar Heel by marriage and enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children. She particularly appreciates heading outdoors with the family in search of adventure and is waiting with baited breath for Marvel's next big hit.

Michelle joined Opus Financial Advisors in 1986 after a successful career in the wholesale distribution industry. As a Certified Financial Planner, Michelle utilizes a holistic approach to financial, charitable, and estate planning. She seeks to educate and empower her clients to meet personal and financial objectives. She is particularly interested in helping other women navigate through their unique life journey. She understands how needs change at various points within that journey. Specifically, she has worked with mature female executives, widows, divorcees, and retired women as they maneuver the road ahead. Michelle is known throughout Statesville and North Carolina for her community service contributions. She has partnered with many religious and not for profit organizations over the years, and she previously serves as President of Iredell Museums. She has also been appointed to the Statesville ABC Board and was elected as director of the NC Association of ABC Boards. She is a proud mother of three beautiful daughters and a doting grandmother to her precious grandchildren.

Nicole J. Robertson - SVP

Nicole strives to inspire confidence in clients making important financial decisions. A rare Chapel Hill native, Nicole brings over 13 years of advisory experience and 18 years of financial expertise to the Chatham/Orange County communities. As a cancer survivor and a successful single mother of two teenagers, she understands the importance of financial and legacy planning regardless of age and stage of life. Nicole enters each meeting with compassion, determination, and practical advice based on her personal and professional experiences. She values diverse perspectives and has a unique ability to simplify complex investing and planning concepts. Nicole leads the Robertson/Frost Team and the practice sheds light on ESG (environmental, social and governance) investing , special needs planning , LGBTQ planning, Long Term Care solutions, and estate settlement for our client base. Nicole isn't afraid of hard work. She's trained and competed in over 30 triathlons-even crossing the finish line of the infamous Escape from Alcatraz triathlon in San Francisco! It comes as no surprise that Nicole loves the outdoors and exploring all our planet has to offer. She and her beautiful daughters, Kayla (UNC Charlotte) and Natalie (Senior, Carrboro High School), enjoy international travel and volunteer regularly for organizations in support of animal rights. Nicole is an active board member of Carolina Tiger Rescue located in Pittsboro, NC. In her (very) limited spare time, she loves to garden and tackle home design projects. She'll use any excuse to grab a paint brush and a little creative license.

Having worked for years in commercial banking as a Principal Relationship Manager, Nina has unique perspective that is particularly valuable to a client base which includes local business owners and senior executives at area firms. She has consistently served as a financial advisor to other businesses and consumers as they develop and work towards their long term goals. Nina's passion for her work is a direct result of seeing the impact proper financial planning can have on quality of life for both individuals and families. She has served as President of the Woods Charter School Foundation Board, a member of the Chatham Arts Council Board of Directors, and is an active member of PEO International, a philanthropic organization supporting women's education internationally where she served as President of Chapter AG and the chair of the North Carolina Budget and Finance committee. Nina and her husband, Wesley, are also members of Chatham Community Church. They both bleed Carolina Blue, and love to cheer for the Tar Heels with their sons, Judge and Mattox.
