Pelita Akademi was founded on the 16th of February 1998, since then, we have been actively engage maritime industry by providing education & training to our clients. For the last 2 decades, we have trained over 50,000 trainees locally & internationally. We are accredited by Jabatan Laut Malaysia under the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watch-keeping for Seafarers (STCW) and Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran for Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM), under the Ministry of Human Resources. We are certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) for ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System... We are recognized by Yayasan Pahang State Foundation for the Technical, Vocational Education, and Training (TVET) program... Established on 16 February 1998 by a former ALAM graduate, Mr. Baharom Mohd Taha, a co-founder and director of the first registered private maritime education and training in Malaysia.
