PLYMOUTH ENGINEERING

Plymouth Engineering was started in 1990 by its founder, Keith P. Whitaker. The company began as a part-time venture with the purpose of providing professional engineering services to qualified design/build contracting firms as well as to several select local developers. The need for prompt, reasonably priced, professional services in the New England area led an ever-increasing number of clients to Plymouth Engineering. The first office was opened in a converted garage on the founder's farm. In 1994, part time drafting and engineering help was added to meet the increasing workload. The company opened a small office in downtown Plymouth in 1995. With continued growth, in January 2021, the company relocated to its current offices at 8 Main Street (Triangle Plaza) in Newport, Maine. Over the years, additional full time staff has been added to keep up with the ever-increasing workload.
