RIDGELINE FARM

Ridgeline Farm is a grain and oilseed farm located near Aneta, ND where Nelson, Griggs, and Steele counties all meet. Ridgeline Farm is comprised of two partners: Scott and Elizabeth Huso. Scott began farming with Tim Brakke in 2008, and with Tim's retirement in 2019, Scott and Elizabeth are continuing on with Ridgeline Farm. Scott handles the overall management of the operation while Elizabeth is in charge of bookkeeping and payroll. Elizabeth is also the safety coordinator for the farm... Ridgeline Farm raises a wide range of crops, including: spring wheat, barley, canola, pinto beans, soybeans, and corn. With this crop mix, Ridgeline Farm focuses on reduced tillage. Some of the land in Ridgeline Farm has not been deep-tilled for 20 years. The no-till practices that Ridgeline Farm uses reduces the number of trips across the fields, thereby reducing some input costs. But the benefit of no-till is the increased number of living things in the soil such as earthworms and soil microbes...
