Founded in 1978, the Rooty Hill Chess Club is Sydney's Best Chess Club! All players, regardless of level and experience are welcome to join and play... As one of the largest and best chess clubs in Sydney, whatever your playing strength, you can always find somebody who enjoys playing a game at your particular level. Our club has various members ranging from young juniors to retirees. The most modern and best chess equipment is provided by the Rooty Hill Chess Club, with weighted sets and a quiet playing area. All of our events are also both FIDE and ACF rated, allowing you to obtain a rating! We are the only chess club in Sydney to FIDE rate all of our events.
