SOWERBY BRIDGE SWIMMING CLUB

Sowerby Bridge Swimming Club is a well established club which has been on the go since 1880. We are run by a dedicated group of volunteers and we a non-profit making organisation. Throughout the year we only close when Calderdale Council closes the pool. We take pride our swimming and safety standards, and therefore ensure we are Swim21 accredited and work hard to maintain this status... Our role is in the teaching and improvement of technique. Anyone wishing to take swimming further is encouraged to join a competitive club but is still welcome to continue swimming with us…... Whatever level you are at we can help, we start our teaching from as young as 5 for non swimmers, then progress through all the strokes, progressing finally to stamina and stroke improvement work.
