The firm was founded in Austin in 1996 under the name Soward & Associates, PLLC by architect Stephen Soward. Stephen spent 9 years working with large, full service architectural and engineering firms in Florida and Texas prior to establishing his own firm. These years of experience prepared him for many different projects in the public and private sectors, involving large institutional work and smaller custom home designs... With extensive experience in an array of traditional and contemporary styles, Soward Architects is capable of providing clients with a personalized aesthetic look that accomplishes their design goals, is contextually relevant, environmentally respectful and always functionally sound.
