UBC DANCE CLUB

The UBC Dance Club offers three newcomer classes a week, each taught by a different teacher. We encourage students to try out each class, and discover the differing teaching styles of each teacher!... Established in 1949 by a group of passionate students, the UBC Dance Club has since grown to become one of the most established varsity clubs at the University of British Columbia. Today, it is composed of 200 UBC students, faculty, and members of the community. The UBC Dance Club emphasizes the social aspect of university by facilitating multiple events for students to connect and network with one another, while developing their passion for ballroom dancing. The club itself is governed by student volunteer executives who donate their time to ensure the success of the organization... We provide a full year of lessons (16 weeks) in which you will learn International Style Ballroom and Latin dancing. International Standard dances are very smooth and carry you gracefully around the room...
