UBC DANCE CLUB

Established in 1949 by a group of passionate students, the UBC Dance Club has since grown to become one of the most established varsity clubs at the University of British Columbia. Today, it is composed of 200 UBC students, faculty, and members of the community. The UBC Dance Club emphasizes the social aspect of university by facilitating multiple events for students to connect and network with one another, while developing their passion for ballroom dancing. The club itself is governed by student volunteer executives who donate their time to ensure the success of the organization... Yuka started partner dancing 20 years ago, and since then, she has been an active member of Vancouver Westie, community dancing, competing, and DJ-ing. Zoltan met his wife, Yuka, at a local dance studio, where she introduced West Coast Swing to him, and slowly but surely, he fell in love with this ever-evolving partner dance. He has been enjoying dancing, competing, and DJ-ing for the past 16 years...
