Thornbury Carburettors is an importer, distributor, rebuilder and restorer with a history dating back to 1952... The family business is currently run by second generation, Peter Catalano son of Angelo, who founded Thornbury Carburettors which specialising in Weber and Dellorto, it seemed a natural progression due to the Italian backround... Angelo completed his apprenticeship in the Italian army and worked extensively throughout Italy on a variety of European vehicles. He migrated to Australia in the late 1940's and opened Catalano garage in the township of Mornington, Victoria. Angelo married and relocated to the northern suburbs of Melbourne, he then commenced trading as Thornbury Carburettors in 1968.
