Aaron Hoke

Hoke was named interim men's volleyball coach in January of 2022, earning full head coach status in the spring of 2022. In his first season as head coach, Hoke led the charge to a .500 winning average in the conference. In 2023, he guided the Phoenix to the most wins and had the most athletes recognized in the All-CSAC selection in program history. In the past two seasons, Wilson had seven All-CSAC selections with a CSAC Rookie of the Year in 2023. Hoke is a 2019 graduate of Wilson and was a four-year starter for the men's volleyball program. He is one of the most decorated players in the short history of the men's volleyball program. He was an all-conference performer his senior year and holds the Wilson record for career kills (1,043), attacks (3,064) and points (1,195).

Avery Murphy

Avery Murphy was hired as the head coach of the women's lacrosse team in December 2023. Murphy comes to Chambersburg with a highly decorated resume as both a player and a coach. She joins Wilson after being the head coach at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, just outside of the state capital of Austin. Last season Murphy guided the Pirates to its best winning percentage in program history with a 9-1 record. Prior to heading to the Lonestar State, Murphy was an assistant coach for King's College in Wilkes-Barre and Alvernia in Reading. Murphy graduated from Cabrini in 2019 after a stellar career. In three seasons she led the Cavaliers to three consecutive conference championships - two of which were in the CSAC and resulted in postseason bids to the NCAA tournament - and won three Player of the Year awards. During her senior season she pulled in 206 draw controls, a mark that ranks third all-time in Division III history. Murphy totaled 452 draw controls during her career which ranks No. 12 all-time. The 7.29 draw controls per game also sits No. 22 in the Division III ranks. She started her collegiate career at Ohio State University where she helped the Buckeyes reach a national ranking as high as eighth. Murphy is a native of Philadelphia suburb of Paoli.

Barry Leonard

Coach Leonard comes to Wilson College with over 25 years golfing experience. He has extensive experience as an instructor with Washington County Junior Golf each summer and continues to participate in leagues. Coach Leonard has an extensive background in leadership and positive behavior support. He has a lifelong engagement to both golf and athletics. Leonard received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Penn State University in 2002 and his Master of Education from Shippensburg University in 2010.

Ben Roberts

Ben Roberts was named the head coach for Wilson's men's golf program in April of 2021. Roberts joined the Phoenix staff after a successful playing and coaching career at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa. While an assistant coach at William Penn, the Statesmen steadily improved in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national rankings and reached as high as No. 23 in the rankings. The team also won four tournaments and made an appearance in the NAIA national tournament. Roberts also coached the Heart of America Athletic Conference Player of the Year and the program's first NAIA All-American. Roberts has a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in business leadership.

Brett Cline

Brett Cline enters his 23 rd year as head coach of the Wilson College Softball Program. Through his 23 years, Coach Cline has led the Phoenix Softball Team to a 360-304-4 record. Since 2010, Cline has guided the Phoenix to seven 20 win seasons. During the 2019 season, Coach Cline helped guide the team to a 27 win season while going undefeated and winning the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) during their first season in the conference. For their efforts during the 2019 season, Cline was named Coach of the Year in the CSAC while coaching the conferences Pitcher of the Year. The team also made an appearance in the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament. After COVID-19 halted their 2020 season, Cline has coached the Phoenix back to the conference tournament the past three seasons. In 2021 and 2022, he guided the Phoenix to two championship games, beating Rosemont to gain the title in 2022. In 2011 and 2012 Cline's team were the NEAC South regular season champions. In 2012 the team had a NEAC South conference record of 20-0. The team also has had 15 NCAA Division III statistical champions over the past 15 years. Cline has led his team to three ECAC playoffs and in 2013 they were in the ECAC Final Four. Coach Cline is a graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education, and received a Master's equivalency Degree from Penn State University. He is currently retired but he spent years working at the South Mountain STU School where he taught business and computer technology.

Cathy Woosley Luse

Woosley Luse joined the Wilson staff in October 2022 after the Phoenix Western and Hunt Seat (English) riding teams transitioned from club teams to varsity status and competing in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). As a result she was appointed director of equestrian teams, overseeing both, and serving as the head coach of the Western team.

Chris Higgins

Chris Higgins was named the head coach of the Wilson men's soccer team in February of 2022. He came to Wilson after serving as the men's soccer assistant coach at Shenandoah University in Virginia. During his first season with the Phoenix, Higgins had Wilson in contention for a postseason bid in the CSAC Championship tournament and tied with the team who earned the final spot. In addition to that he coached two all-conference players as well as an Academic All-District selection. While at Shenandoah, Higgins was involved with all aspects of the program, including recruiting and practice planning. He trained both goalkeepers and position players while helping the 2021 Hornets win their most games since 2004 and reach the ODAC tournament for the first time in program history. Prior to his tenure at Shenandoah Higgins served as a graduate assistant at LaGrange College in 2018 where he helped the Panthers to 10 wins, the second-most in school history and doubling their output from 2017. He assisted with recruiting and training goalkeepers while at LaGrange. Higgins also worked with the Shenandoah FC Elite club team in Winchester, Virginia. Higgins was a standout goalkeeper for North Carolina Wesleyan University, where he helped the team win back-to-back USA South regular season championships and an appearance in the NCAA tournament in 2017. Chris and his wife Taylor reside in Chambersburg.

Dave Matthews

Dave Matthews is the head coach of Wilson College's men's golf program. Matthews worked at Chambersburg YMCA for 42 years where he was the executive director. He was the head coach for both the women's and men's swimming and diving teams at Chambersburg Senior High School for 10 years, and a boys and girls age group swimming and diving coach for 15 years. He also coached women's softball at James Buchanan High School for five years, and has experience coaching youth softball and baseball. Head Coach Matthews has a diverse coaching background. Additionally, he is the founder of the Chambersburg YMCA's scramble golf league, YMCA golf tournaments, and YMCA golf instruction. He is an avid golfer. Matthews has a Bachelor of Science in health and physical education from East Stroudsburg University and a Master of Business Administration from Frostburg University. While as ESU Coach Matthews was a four-year varsity letter athlete in swimming.

Effren Amezquita enters his second year as a assistant coach for the Wilson men's soccer program. Prior to coaching, Amezquita attended Geneva College where he played two season before transferring to Wilson College. Amezquita finished his collegiate career at Wilson as a midfielder and graduated in 2019 with a degree in business management. Upon graduation, Amezquita trained with the Xelaju MC under 23 team in Guatemala for a season. Effren currently resides in Chambersburg, PA.

Greg Figueroa

Greg Figueroa is going into his 4th season with Wilson College. Prior to Wilson, Figueroa attended college at Lebanon Valley College and competed in the men's soccer team. Figueroa enjoys being around the game of soccer, mentoring youth, and spending time with his family and friends. Currently, Figueroa resides in Chambersburg where he has also coached at the middle school and high school levels for four years.

Jason Lewis

Jason Lewis was named the head coach of the Wilson women's volleyball team in April of 2022. He joined the Phoenix after previously serving as an assistant coach with the men's team and as a coach with the Potomac Storm club team. In his first season with the Phoenix, he took a Wilson squad with limited numbers and qualified for the postseason with an appearance in the CSAC Championship quarterfinals. He also coached an All-CSAC First Team selection, the Blue and White's first since the 2019 campaign. Prior to working with the Storm Lewis served as a club coach in Hagerstown, Maryland, and continues to be active as a player in adult volleyball leagues. Lewis received a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in Spanish from the University of South Florida and a second bachelor's degree in foreign language from Shippensburg University. He currently is working on his master's degree in teaching from Wilson.

Kaitlin Scheller

Before her time at Wilson, Scheller attended Hood College majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. During her time at Hood, she was a member of the softball team; where she was the team captain, an NFCA Scholar-Athlete, President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable mention. During her high school career, she was a 2015 district III qualifier while earning team MVP honors twice, along with being, a three-time First-Team All-Gettysburg Times athlete and a three-time All-Adams County Athlete. Scheller brings a wealth of coaching knowledge as she has helped coach local travel teams and high school teams for many years. Kaitlin is asl a Senior Finance Analyst for Bank of America.
