Andrea joins Zeidler with over 21 years of experience leading the design and execution of diverse projects for both public and private clients. His global experience stems from his educational foundation in Italy and having worked for some of the most internationally renowned firms, including Kohn Pedersen Fox and Massimiliano Fuksas. His global perspective is grounded locally in his over thirteen years designing for Canadian firms WZMH and Diamond Schmitt Architects. Andrea's approach to design is contextual and integrated. He adapts his thinking to a range of scales from master plans to small, crafted pavilions. Skilled at digital and parametric tools, he uses technology to expand the potential for each design while often using his hand sketches to quickly show new ideas. His roles as Lead Designer guide the direction on each project as the vision holder, while ensuring consistency throughout the process from concept to construction. Andrea's work has international awards and he has received acclaim from both critics and clients. Margo joined Zeidler in 2020 as Interior Design Studio Lead in our Vancouver studio. Having worked in Interior Design in Vancouver and Western Canada for over 25 years, she not only brings a diverse portfolio along with her, but an inspired and creative approach to design. Early on, Margo knew that architecture and design was the career path for her. Working as a set designer for the drama department at her high school, she was intrigued by how influential the setting is for live theatre, dance, and opera-almost as if becoming another character. Translating this philosophy to her career as an interior designer provides her work with nuanced detail. The excitement and challenge of constant evolution in trends, materials, technologies, and strategies fulfills her desire for continued learning. Margo sees herself as a technical designer at heart, loving the research, the planning, and working out the details of a project. Ultimately, she believes that a project's inspiration comes down to understanding the client's needs, wants and goals, and developing a synergy with them to create the best strategies and decisions. Margo says, "our work is handmade just for our clients, and a lot of work goes into getting that perfect fit!" From this solid foundation, Rob is able to push innovation, earning him a reputation as a technical design leader.
