His previous roles include various project positions whilst at RES Offshore and EDP Renewables, then Project Director for Ocean Winds' Moray West Offshore Wind Farm before moving into his current role.

Alwyn Poulter leads market development and strategy for Hitachi Energy UK, a global leader in power grid technology. He brings over 16 years of experience driving strategic growth across the energy sector, both in the supply chain and as a developer.
Prior to joining Hitachi Energy, Alwyn held senior roles where he spearheaded high-impact initiatives in renewables and grid infrastructure - ranging from government engagement and shaping market direction to commercial strategy and competitive bidding. He has worked across a broad range of the energy value chain including large-scale renewable development, interconnectors, energy retail, and energy trading.

Clare is the Project Director for the 1GW Buchan Offshore Wind ScotWind project. Clare brings extensive experience in the renewables sector over the last two decades of major project development, having led a diverse portfolio of offshore and onshore renewable energy projects during her career.
Prior to her current role, she was a Director leading Arup's energy business where she worked with government and regulators in shaping policy and regulatory frameworks in the renewables sector, and with the private sector leading project execution.

John is a Corporate Partner at Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP. He is passionate about renewables, and over the last decade he has worked on many different projects from run-of-river hydro schemes and single turbine wind farms to some of the UK's largest offshore wind projects. John is active across the renewables community, and is involved with several incubators and catapults, through which he mentors ambitious cleantech entrepreneurs on a pro bono basis.
Kate is Group Director of Policy and External Affairs at Windward Energy group (which encompasses Bute Energy, Green GEN Cymru and Haldane Energy).
Windward Energy's commitment to fostering sustainable energy solutions is paramount, and Kate's role as Group Director of Policy and External Affairs is pivotal in directing energy policy and strategic engagement across the renewables sector to achieve this. With a robust background in the legal profession and strategic leadership, Kate is actively focussed on renewable energy policy development and collaborative engagement with industry stakeholders regarding the energy transition, with a particular focus on onshore renewables, grid network development and long duration storage. Kate's expertise in renewable energy and low carbon projects is reflected in the successful development and management of onshore and offshore wind projects, storage projects, green hydrogen, biomass, and other green technologies.

Neil is a Director with BVG Associates, global strategic advisors to the wind industry. With 30 years of experience in the renewables sector, he leads work on the globalisation of wind energy and on providing strategic advice to governments, developers, enablers, and supply chain businesses. Prior to joining BVG Associates in 2017 he spent over 20 years with Natural Power designing, developing, and operating onshore and offshore wind farms. Neil is part of the team that delivered the Scottish Onshore Wind Sector Deal in 2023.
Paul leads the Offshore Wind, Hydrogen and Storage business in ESB, the Irish utility company. Prior to that, Paul has had various leadership roles in the development and construction of onshore wind in Ireland and Scotland. With a generation portfolio of c. 4.5GW in development, ESB aims to play a central role in delivering Scotland's Net Zero ambition.

Susie is the Managing Director of the BlueFloat Energy | Nadara Partnership in the UK where she leads the development of 5GW of floating offshore wind. Susie has worked in the energy sector for 15 years in development, construction, operation and decommissioning of projects including on and offshore wind, solar and battery. Previous roles include executive director positions at EDF (UK) and EDF Renewables and this is her second term on the SR Board. She remains a qualified lawyer, notary public and Writer to His Majesty's Signet.

Yusuf Patel is EDF Power Solutions UK and Ireland's Chief Technical Officer. He has been working in the UK Renewables sector for over 20 years, having joined EDF in 2023 from ScottishPower Renewables, where he served in the roles of Operations Director and Projects and Construction Director.
Yusuf has extensive experience of Operating and Project Delivery of Renewables assets, having held responsibility at Director level for operating over 2GWs of Onshore Windfarms, and project delivery responsibility for a large-scale portfolio of Onshore Wind, Solar and Battery projects across the UK and Ireland, within 2 Global scale utility organisations.
The Central Technical Office (CTO) function in EDF Power Solutions, is responsible for Project construction of EDFs Onshore Wind, Solar and, Battery sites, as well as Engineering, Procurement, Grid Management and Central Project Office support across the EDF Onshore and Offshore portfolio, and Yusuf has responsibility for leading the teams across the function in the UK to deliver on ambitious net zero targets.
Yusuf has a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with Financial Management from the University of Strathclyde, and is a chartered member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
