Before joining Humphrey & Co in 2019 I completed my studies at BHASVIC college in Maths, Economics and Psychology. In September 2023 I qualified as an Accounting Technician (AAT). I am based in the Hove office where I work for partner Ian Simpson. In my spare time, I enjoying playing football, running and cooking!
I joined Humphrey & Co during my final year of studying for my Psychology Degree at the University of Sussex. I work in our Eastbourne Office for Partner Sue Pocklington in the Trusts and Estates team.
I have since begun studying towards the STEP certificate in Trust & Estates.
I joined Humphrey & Co in January 2023. Prior to joining the firm I worked in the property industry as a sales and lettings consultant. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with my family and friends.
I joined Humphrey & Co in 1983 after graduating from Leeds University with a degree in Modern Languages. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1986 and became a partner in 1989. I am based in the Eastbourne office but a good proportion of my clients are based in London and other parts of the UK. I have a special interest in insurance related businesses with particular emphasis on individuals and corporate bodies associated with the Lloyd's of London insurance market
I joined Humphrey & Co in 1997 having completed an engineering Masters degree at Cambridge University the year before. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2000 and, after two years working in the Aerospace industry, returned to the firm and became a partner in 2006. I am based in Eastbourne with the majority of my clients spread across East and West Sussex. My client base is extremely diverse with start ups through to international corporate entities. In my spare time (or what's left of it from having 3 young children), I particularly enjoy scaring myself sailing my RS dinghy in nearby Pevensey Bay!
I joined Humphrey & Co in June 2021 having previously spent 15 years at another local practice. I work for partner Kevin Hancock as part of the tax team.
I joined Humphrey & Co as an apprentice in 2014 having completed my A Levels at Bexhill College. I went on to complete my Accounting Technician qualification (AAT) in 2016, Tax Technician qualification (ATT) in 2017, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 2020 and a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) in January 2023. I am part of the Dental and Medical Team working for partner Greg Penfold. Outside of work, I enjoy taking part in a variety of sports including football, badminton, golf and squash. I recently completed the Brighton Half Marathon in aid of charity with fellow work colleagues.
I have 29 years' experience in payroll working for secretarial recruitment agencies, payroll bureaux and chartered accountants. I have a BTEC Foundation in Payroll Administration qualification. In my spare time I enjoy walking, playing badminton & various board games.I joined Humphrey & Co in September 2015.
I joined Humphrey & Co in July 2021 as part of the dental team in Eastbourne, working for Partner Karen Wicks. After graduating from Brighton University with a degree in Accounting and Finance, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2016 at a local accountancy firm, before moving into senior finance roles in the construction industry for just under 5 years.

I joined Humphrey & Co in 2004 having completed a degree in Physics and Mathematics at Keele University. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008. I enjoy acting for a wide range of businesses from sole traders to large companies. I have an interest in legal sector clients with a particular specialism in the tax affairs of Barristers.
I achieved my BA Honours degree in Accounting and Finance in 2007 and my ACA qualification in November 2014. I started working for Humphrey & Co in September 2020, as part of the Lloyds of London specialist team I assist partners Andrew Robinson and Lewis Hampton with accounts and tax work for individuals, limited companies and partnerships.

As well as providing general practice services, I specialise in charity and audit clients and am a member of both the specialist charities and audit teams.

I work closely with Senior Partner Anthony Smith providing accounting and taxation advice. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family, taking walks over the South Downs and playing stoolball for a local team. Whilst at Humphrey & Co I have taken part in a half marathon and a sky dive in aid of charity.
I joined the payroll department at Humphrey & Co in August 2022, having worked in payroll for 11 years where I have gained a lot of experience over that time.
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2015 and have over 10 years' experience in practice. I joined Humphrey & Co in 2021 looking for a new challenge. I am based in our Hove office and work as a member of Ian Simpson's team, assisting with accounts and taxation work for his portfolio of clients.
I graduated from London in 2000 with an honours degree in Accounting and Business Finance. I joined Humphrey & Co in the same year. I qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2003 and obtained the status of Fellow in 2008. I am located in the Eastbourne office. My focus is on individual taxation and I specialise in acting for healthcare professionals, particularly dentists. I have a broad range of experience assisting clients to start their business, obtain finance for growth, tender for contracts and the purchase and sale of businesses throughout the UK. I regularly lecture on taxation around the country.
I joined Humphrey & Co in 2018 after studying Business Management with Finance at Brunel University. I completed my ACA studies in May 2022 to become a fully qualified Chartered Accountant. In my spare time I enjoy going to watch Crystal Palace play football.

I joined Humphrey & Co in 2021 after 2 years at another local accountancy firm. In January 2023 I completed my AAT level 4 apprenticeship and qualified as an Accounting Technician. I work for partner Craig Manser assisting in compliance and taxation work for his diverse portfolio of clients. In my spare time, I like going to watch a variety of sports events, particularly football and motorsport.
I joined Humphrey & Co in 2005 and qualified as an Accounting Technician with the AAT a year later. I then went on to study payroll with the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and became the firm's Payroll Manager in 2010. I look after a varied and expanding client base.
I joined Humphrey and Co in January 2018 after relocating to the local area. I've worked in a few practices and came to the conclusion I enjoy bookkeeping and management accounts the most. I've used various software packages over the years but my favourite by far is Xero. I've taught a varied range of clients how to use Xero and improve their processing systems. Bookkeeping has changed in recent years and it's exciting to see how new software is developing to meet this change, freeing up us bookkeepers to add more value than ever before.
I started my working career in forestry before joining Midland Bank. I have also worked in the printing industry, foreign exchange and for The Association of Authorised Public Accountants, a governing body for accountants.I joined Humphrey & Co in 1997 and became AAT qualified in 2002 and a fellow member in 2008. I am directly involved in the majority of audits within the firm and undertake Solicitors Accounts Rules compliance work. In my spare time, I am treasurer of a local cricket club and vice-chairman of a local motor sport club.
I joined Humphrey & Co in August 1999, after graduating from the University of Wales in Swansea. I completed my professional studies with Humphrey & Co and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in July 2002. I am based in the Hove office and assist small and medium sized businesses with their accountancy and taxation affairs. I am part of the specialist Dental Team and have interests in the construction industry and personal taxation areas. I prepare the annual dental statistics report on behalf of NASDAL each year
I completed my AAT qualifications whilst working for a firm of chartered accountants in Lewes, and joined Humphrey & Co in 2011. I am based in our Eastbourne office and work closely with partner Greg Penfold as part of the Dental and Medical team, providing accountancy and taxation services.
I joined Humphrey & Co in November 2021. In my role as Administration Assistant, I use a variety of computer systems to keep things running smoothly. I work for partner Greg Penfold within the Dental and Medical team. Before joining the firm, I worked in a variety of industries in similar admin focused roles. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Communication with Business studies.

I completed my Chartered Accountant training contract in 2016, having joined Humphrey and Co in 2013 after completing a Masters Degree in Mathematics from the University of Bath. I started working at Humphrey & Co in August 2020 having just finished my AAT Level 3. In May 2022 I completed my AAT apprenticeship to become a qualified Accounting Technician, I am now going onto study ACA to achieve the Chartered Accountant qualification. I work in the Dental & Medical team for partner Greg Penfold, where I am involved in the production of accounts and company secretarial matters for a large array of clients. In my free time I enjoy playing and listening to music as well as hikes in the countryside.
I joined Humphrey & Co in July 1990 having reached maximum potential at my previous job. Since then I have grown into my role as office manager starting with preparing accounts from client records, processing payroll and then gradually taking on more internal administration for the firm. I now oversee the general day to day running of the office including preparation of our internal accounts, payroll and debt collection.
Karen Read MICB Xero Consultant I joined the firm in November 2021 as part of the Xero team, after being a self employed bookkeeper for 14 years. I enjoy being part of the team and hope to progress my career here. I have two teenage daughters who keep me busy and in my spare time I enjoy weightlifting, pole fitness, gymnastics and callisthenics. I take a proactive approach to assisting clients to ensure they are best prepared to operate their business in the most tax efficient manner. I have a special interest in individuals and corporate bodies associated with the Lloyd's of London insurance market and provide a number of specialist services including auditing, valuations and tax advisory and compliance. I joined the firm in October 2017, in my role as Client Administration Manager I use a variety of computer systems to set-up new clients and carry out compliance checks. Before joining Humphrey & Co I worked at a local recruitment agency as Senior Administrator for nearly 11 years and earlier on in my career as a holiday rep, where my love for holidays abroad began; I especially enjoy going on cruises with my husband and daughter.
What do you like most about your job? My colleagues are the best! I like the variety of the work and there's a great atmosphere in the office.
I started work for a chartered accountant in Hastings in 1998 and became AAT qualified in 2003. After 18 years I wanted a new challenge and joined Humphrey & Co in December 2016. I specialised in Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) & Court of Protection Deputyship cases, to include creation/application to the Court and ongoing management of clients' property & financial affairs and health & welfare matters.

I joined the Humphrey & Co Payroll team in July 2019, working in the Eastbourne office. I have worked within accountancy practices since late 2012 and have many years' experience in payroll.

I joined Humphrey & Co in 2014 after graduating in Accounting and Finance in 2010 and completing a 3 year training contract elsewhere. I assist businesses with a holistic approach to accountancy and taxation.
I enjoy the variety of my work and I have a portfolio containing a vast range of industries, from start-ups to long established companies. I have worked within the healthcare sector throughout my career and I have expert knowledge and experience in this industry. Although I am a general accountant, I act for a plethora of doctors, dentists, care home owners and other healthcare businesses.
I have worked within an accounting practice since 2005. Although I have experience in areas such as accounts, payroll has always been my speciality. I enjoy the work involved with payroll and continue to develop my knowledge for both this and the recently introduced auto enrolment. I have achieved my AAT qualification, and I am also a member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals. Since joining Humphrey and Co in 2015, I enjoy working as part of a team to look after payrolls for a large range of clients.

I joined Humphrey and Co in 1988 and became a qualified AAT in 1990. I work predominately for partners Andrew Robinson and Michael Macefield preparing accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
I joined Humphrey and Co in March 2015. I graduated with a degree in Business Management and Accountancy from Sussex University in 2004. I have spent the last 20 years focussing on accounting and tax. This started with accounting for Resident Management Companies and their Service Charge trusts and later expanded to include accounting and tax for individuals, various Trust types as well as Estates. Trust and Estate work feels personal and has its own set of challenges. This makes my work enjoyable and very rewarding. In my spare time I love live music events, hiking and mountain biking.

I previously worked in a multimedia production company organising events and exhibitions. I then took time off to have my son and joined Humphrey & Co in September 2014 assisting with varied tasks in the Marketing Department. My role has recently developed to managing the marketing of the firm and assisting Kate Manser, Practice Manager, with a variety of internal practice procedures.
I joined Humphrey & Co in 1981 and undertake a variety of roles for various partners: book-keeping, VAT Returns and accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and companies. I am proficient on Sage and Quickbooks. I have also gained my Xero certification. In addition to these roles for clients, I deal with the office administration when Julie Vine, the office manager, is away.
Ruliet Lakin Administrative Assistant Prior to working at Humphrey & Co, I worked in catering and hospitality for 3 years. I'm very grateful to Humphrey & Co for the opportunity to use my diploma in office skills and management in the role I do here. I was born and raised in the Philippines and the youngest of 6 siblings. Outside work, I enjoy catching up with friends and family & travelling near and far. I worked as Cabin Crew for British Airways for nearly 10 years before clipping my wings to have a baby. I now have two cheeky little monkey's and felt ready to take on a different customer service role at ground level rather than 30,000 feet! I joined Humphrey & Co in September 2018 and really enjoy being part of the team.

In 2004 I qualified as an Accounting Technician (AAT) and went on to become a CIMA qualified Management Accountant. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and have significant experience in all aspects of payroll. I continue to develop my skills and keep abreast of the ever changing legislation.
I completed my A levels at Christ's Hospital school in Horsham in 2011, before joining a large regional firm in the same year. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2015 and joined Humphrey & Co in 2016. I qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2018, so I can better assist clients with their tax needs. In 2015 I became Xero-certified enabling me to help our growing client base who use this excellent software. When I'm not following my favorite football team, my spare time is filled with the frustrations of finding a reasonable standard of golf.
I joined Humphrey & Co in 2014. I have completed my accounting technician (AAT) qualification and I am currently studying towards my Tax Technician (ATT) qualification. I am part of the Dental and Medical team working for Partner, Karen Wicks. Outside of work I enjoy taking part in a variety of sports including cricket, golf, football and basketball. I regularly take part in a six a side football league with colleagues and a squash league also run by Humphrey & Co.
I joined Humphrey & Co in 2010 having graduated from the University of Brighton with a degree in Law with Accounting. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2013. I work closely with partner Andrew Robinson providing accounting and taxation advice to a wide range of clients. In 2015 I became Xero-certified, which allows me to assist clients with their bookkeeping on easy-to-use software. Outside of work, I help at a local trampoline club and I attend regular dance classes.
I went to college and studied motor vehicle repair work. I passed all of my exams and worked as a mechanic for a while. During this time, computers in cars were becoming the norm and they were quickly becoming more complicated. I found that I was able to deal with car, computer related problems easier than some others and it caught my interest. I took various computer examinations and then worked for Lombard bank where I would process financial and land registry information via computers and maintain the backup systems. From the bank, I moved to the motor insurance industry. I took, and passed, my Chartered Insurance Institute examinations and my roles were primarily based around computers. I created automated applications to improve efficiency and worked together with the IT department. 7 years later, I moved my employment to Humphrey & Co.
I joined Humphrey & Co in 2007. I am qualified as both a Chartered Tax Adviser and Trust and Estate Practitioner. I also passed The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation. I oversee our Trust & Estate Support Services team and, as we are now licensed as a probate firm by the ICAEW, I am also the Head of Legal Services and one of the firm's Authorised Individuals for probate work. I specialise in personal tax planning, including inheritance tax, wills and lasting powers of attorney. I advise and assist both individuals and other professionals in all aspects of Trust and Estate administration.
What do you like most about your job? I love the interaction with clients and contacts, learning how they have got to where they are and seeing how I can help and support them.
I joined Humphrey & Co in July 2019 as part of the reception/admin team. My working background has mainly been reception and administrative duties working in a GP surgery, chiropractic clinic and a personal alarm company. For 5 years I owned and ran a successful dress agency which I absolutely loved.

I joined Humphrey & Co in 2021 as an apprentice after completing the first year of my AAT studies. I am part of the dental team working for partner Karen Wicks. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing and watching sports including football, tennis and golf.
I joined Humphrey & Co as an apprentice in 2017 having completed my studies in accounting, law and business at Sussex Downs College, Eastbourne. In 2020 I completed my AAT studies to becoming a qualified Accounting Technician. I then went on to achieve my ACA qualification to become a Chartered Accountant in October 2023. I work for partner Karen Wicks as part of the dental and medical team. Outside of work, I enjoy relaxing, spending time with my friends and family, going out and socialising.

I joined Humphrey & Co in 2023 after studying A-levels in Maths, Physics, Engineering, and a Certificate in Mathematical Studies. I work for partner Craig Manser assisting in compliance and taxation work for his diverse portfolio of clients. In my spare time, I love to watch and compete in motorsport which I have done since I was very young.

I joined Humphrey & Co in July 2021 after finishing my A-levels at Bexhill college in May 2021. I work in the Eastbourne office in the Dental & Medical team working for partner Greg Penfold.
I started working at Humphrey & Co in August 2019 in the New Client team. I previously worked for Volkswagen for 10 years in the Service Department.
I have also been a manager at a well-known bookshop for many years, organising events and managing a large team.
