Bronte Way

The Bronte Way is a 43 mile cross-Pennine route linking locations associated with the lives and works of the Bronte sisters The Bronte Way is a 43 mile long distance footpath which starts at Oakwell Hall ("Fieldhead" in Charlotte Bronte's novel "Shirley") near Birstall in Kirklees near Bradford, and ends at Gawthorpe Hall in Padiham near Burnley. A challenging walk which has moorland scenery, heritage and literary aspects.

Lady Anne Clifford

2020 is the 25th anniversary of the Lady Anne Clifford Way, and certificates will be issued for all walkers who complete the route during the season. This certificate can be collected either from Penrith Tourist Information Centre or can be downloaded from the official website: www.ladyannesway.co.uk
