Bio: Ashish Malik is a Professor of Human Resource Management and Head of the Business School at UNSW Canberra, at ADFA, Australia. He was a Director of The William J. Clinton Leadership Institute, the Executive Education arm of Queen's Business School, Belfast, UK.
Ashish has published more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, 10 books, and 22 book chapters, and his research has attracted over AU$ 2.8 million in grant funding from 15 internal and external grant schemes. Ashish's research has been accepted/published in several ABDC A*, CABS 4*/4 and FT-50 ranked journals, such as Human Resource Management (US) (ABDC Rank A* and FT-50), Human Resource Management Journal (ABDC A/ABS4*), British Journal of Management (ABDC A/CABS 4), Harvard Business Review (FT-50), MIT Sloan Management Review (FT-50), Industrial Marketing Management (ABDC A*), Journal of Business Ethics (FT-50) and several ABDC and CABS A and 3-ranked journals such as, International Journal of Human Resource Management(ABDC A), Health Care Management Review, International Journal of Manpower, Knowledge Management Research & Practice, Organizational Dynamics, Personnel Review and Journal of International Management, among others.
Ashish also holds several editorial appointments, including serving as the Associate Editor of the Human Resource Management Journal (ABS4*/ABDC A), the Journal of Business Research (ABDC A) and is on Editorial Boards of Human Resource Management Review (ABDC A), Journal of Service Theory and Practice (ABDC A), and Journal of Knowledge Management (ABDC A). In 2022 and 2023, Ashish also featured on the Stanford List among the top 2% most widely cited scientists in his discipline.

Ashley is the Assistant Dean (Internationalisation) at WBS and has presented his research at many conferences, most recently at The Academy of Management, The British Academy of Management and also as a visiting scholar at Harvard University.
He researches organisational culture, shared leadership, creative learning and participatory pedagogies, publishing in a range of journals including, The Leadership Quarterly, British Journal of Management, and Work, Employment and Society.
Ashley is Director, Trustee and Executive Team Member for The British Academy of Management where he both formulates and implements strategic international policy. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, an Academic Member of The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, plus a Member of The International Centre for Research in Organisational Discourse, Strategy and Change.
He is a National Teaching Fellow, a winner of The Warwick Award for Teaching Excellence and is a Fellow of the Warwick International Higher Education Academy. Ashley also holds Visiting Professorships at leading global institutions and is External MBA Examiner to a Russell Group University. He is an editorial board member of the journal The British Journal of Management and reviews for top ranked academic journals.
Ashley gained a PhD from Cardiff University where he also previously taught on a variety of courses at Cardiff Business School. Ashley teaches on Undergraduate, Warwick MBA and Master's level courses. He is the internal examiner on the Organisational Behaviour Executive variant of the Warwick MBA (London), Leading Global Organisations (Dubai) and Strategic Luxury Leadership (Venice).
He has taught Organisational Behaviour MBA Modules in Brussels, Chile, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai and Venice. Each year Ashley wins an award for his outstanding contribution to Undergraduate teaching and he also receives the Warwick Business School Outstanding MBA Teacher Award annually.

Emma became the Managing Editor for the International Journal of Management Reviews and British Journal of Management in December 2009, and more recently also the administrator for the BAM Peer Review College. She works closely with the journal editors, board members, reviewers, authors and publishers. Emma has extensive experience of working in journal publishing having previously held various roles while working for Butterworth-Heinemann, Blackwell Science and Wiley.

Fiona Wilson was Professor of Organisational Behaviour in the Adam Smith Business School. Having recently retired after over 21 years there, she is currently Emeritus Professor, an Affiliate and Honorary Senior Research Fellow.
She has published two books and around 44 articles in journals such as AMR, ASQ, Sociology, Work, Employment and Society, Organization, Organization Studies and Human Relations. Her research interests are focussed mainly on equality and gender at work.

Ines joined BAM in 2024 as Memberships & Systems Officer. They studied English and History. In this role, they handle incoming membership inquires and ensure that BAM members (current and prospective) are well supported. Ines also manages the company's database.
Jamie L. Callahan (EdD, PhD) is Professor of Organisation and Ethics at Durham University. Her EdD from George Washington University explored systems of emotion in organisational change. Her PhD from Tilburg University addressed issues of power in Critical HRD. A USAF veteran, she served as a personnel officer and member of the Pentagon Air Staff Total Quality consultancy team. Jamie's academic career has spanned multiple institutions prior to her present position, including Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Drexel, and Northumbria universities. Her research addresses issues of power and privilege in organised contexts, leading her to explore marginalised groups' experiences of leadership, learning, and organisational transformation. Her particular passion is championing gender equity. The former Editor of Human Resource Development Review and current Co-Editor of International Journal of Management Reviews, Jamie has published extensively, including in journals such as Human Relations, Organization Studies, Violence Against Women, International Journal of Management Reviews, Human Resource Development Quarterly, and Human Resource Development International. She has also earned numerous research awards, including the Academy of Human Resource Development 2020 Scholar of the Year Award and 2015 Outstanding Book of the Year Award. As an educator, she has been a visiting professor in Saudi Arabia, France, England, and Thailand. She is a feminist, editor, author, mentor, activist, and educator.

Justin started with BAM in January 2024 as their Communications and Events Coordinator.
He graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2008 with a 2:1 in English Language and Communications with Creative and Professional Writing.
After a myriad of roles in retail, education, merchant navy, and charity events since 2005, Justin began his journey in the communications and creative world; first working for a literary charity, then for himself, followed by the communications team for a London Borough, before joining BAM.

Justina joined BAM in early 2019 and is responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of BAM's community events, professional development programmes and the annual Conference, as well as BAM's communications strategy and community relations. Justina has extensive experience of large-scale project delivery having previously worked in pan-European organisations specialising in digital innovation - EIT Digital (London, UK) and the European Alliance (Trento, Italy), research centres (Maynooth, Ireland) and the Royal College of Surgeons (Dublin, Ireland). Justina has over 15 years of experience managing educational projects and events locally and internationally.

Kate is a Professor of Management Learning and Education.
Following an early career as a Marine Ecologist at a Field Centre in rural Pembrokeshire, Kate moved into HR management (Recruitment and Development) within retail management. Her key role was to implement the recruitment and development strategy during a period when the branch was under considerable strain both locally in terms of staffing availability, and as a result of changing sales strategies.
Kate joined NBS in Summer 2014 following 10 years at the University of Chester, latterly within Chester Business School. She currently holds the role of Director of Education within the Business School.
Kate is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA), a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE) and a member of the CIPD (AMCIPD). She co-Chair of the British Academy of Management (BAM) with responsiblity for Management Knowledge and Education (MKE). She also co-leads BAM's Education-focused Professor programme. Kate has also been Chair of BAM's Identity SIG since 2018
Kate completed her PhD part-time at Lancaster University in August 2013. Her research examined the learning of professionals working within multi-agency teams within a local authority Children's Services department.
Kate's research interests lie in examining informal, workplace learning, as a process of ‘being' and ‘becoming' (identity) for professionals in the contemporary knowledge economy. Kate is currently working on a funded research project examining inter-generational learning and knowledge exchange within the knowledge economy.
Her research adopts a largely qualitative approach to data generation with particular emphasis upon visual methods such as photo-elicitation, artefactual conversations and the use of participant-generated pictors.
Kate's pedagogic research examines such areas as student attendance and engagement and students-as-partners. She has worked to maintain the relevance of the research methods and dissertation elements of management education in the light of the changing demographic of management students in UK universities. This has informed one of her projects that examined the role of the undergraduate Business/Management dissertation in developing skills and capabilities for employment.

Lewis has been with BAM since November 2014 and has worked in several different roles in his time. Lewis works closely with the Head of Events and Programmes on the delivery and planning of the BAM Annual Conference, as well as managing BAM Communities such as SIGs and Tracks. Lewis also acts as the secretariat of the BAM Fellows and supports the activities of the College. In his spare time, Lewis enjoys running, playing most sports, and more importantly being a dance dad to his two young daughters.

Adina Dudau is Professor of Public Management at the University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School and Senior Fellow at the University of Glasgow Centre for Public Policy. She is a regular at management and public administration conferences and has published in top journals in the field. She is also serving on the BAM Council, the IRSPM executive board, as well as being co-editor of the European Management Journal, and associate editor of Public Management Review and of Journal of Management Inquiry.
Adina's work has been funded by the EU, UKRI, CIMA and Carnegie Trust. Her current research is three-fold: research policy (research ecosystems including doctoral training, people, culture and environment), public service ecosystems, and the impact of digitalisation on the future of work and on integrity management and corruption.

Professor Qile He, also known as Horace, is a Professor of Strategy and Performance Management at the University of Derby, UK. He was previously a Reader in Operations Management and the Associate Head of School for Research of the School of Strategy and Leadership at Coventry University, UK, successfully leading the school research portfolio.
His research expertise and interests are in the area of interfirm alliances and partnerships, innovation strategies and processes of organizations, as well as sustainable and responsible business, and inter-organizational knowledge transfer. Sharon Miller has worked in finance for the last 20+ years and holds the CIMA qualification. Her experience is broad including the education and not for profit sector as well as service and manufacturing industries. She joined BAM in 2019 and produces regular management accounts and financial information to enable the executives' decisions and to ensure the organisation is sustainable and able to deliver its objectives long term. Sharon also manages the payments process and supports compliance and financial governance, all in just two days each week.

Stuart joined BAM on a part-time basis in 2019. He is responsible for overseeing all of the administrative processes for the research grants offered by BAM, including the funding application and selection process, monitoring of project progress and finances, and capturing of impact arising from funded projects. He works closely with the BAM Chair of Research Grants and is a member of BAM's Research and Publications Committee.
Stuart has over 15 years of experience in higher education research administration, and continues to work part-time as a research finance officer at a London-based university. He has an undergraduate degree in Law and a postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management.
In his free time, Stuart continues to develop his knowledge of Japanese language, film photography, and a general appreciation of music and visual arts.
