1UP DRONES - Key Persons

Gary Hinton

Gary Hinton started in the turf industry 25 years ago mowing lawns to pay his way through college. He later worked as a teacher with at-risk youth. Then, soon after completing his Master's Degree, he left that profession. He returned to the green industry that he loved, as Grasshopper. Gary became an industry leader in sports field maintenance, including fertilizing, water control, trouble-shooting problem areas, and keeping fields looking beautiful and most importantly, safe for the players. He has held the position of Head Groundskeeper at Community America Ballpark, home of the Kansas City T-Bones. He personally knows the long hours that go into manicured turf as well as the need for resource management. Gary has combined his passion for turf and technology to assist 1UP as our agriculture, and turf expert. Whether it's a golf course, a sports field, or 1800 acres in the mountains, Gary enjoys providing aerial data that can re-shape the way work is done on the ground. Gary & 1UP is your Multi-Spectral Solution….Water management and soil integrity is our goal.
