I began my master's degree at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic with a 5 month old baby boy at home. It was a scary time in not only healthcare but the world especially as a new mom. Balancing a baby, work, school, and clinicals was quite the challenge. With the help and support of my family, I graduated from Duquesne University in December 2022 and became a board certified family nurse practitioner. With another baby on the way, I started my first NP job here at Advanced Physical Medicine in February 2023. Compared to all the clinics I completed clinicals at, APM truly stood out to me.
