Alexis A. Cotsalas

Alexis Cotsalas graduated from Hofstra University School of Law in 2010. Prior to becoming an Associate for the firm, Ms. Cotsalas appeared before multiple Municipal and Superior Courts as a criminal defense attorney throughout the State. She assists with matters for the firm in its representation of all clients. She primarily focuses on matters of civil litigation for the firm's attorneys by drafting motions, assisting with deposition preparation, conducting critical legal research, crucial document review and analysis for the firm's attorneys to aid in pre-trial and post-trial representation for the firm's clients. She also serves as an assistant editor for New Jersey legal author Robert Ramsey, Esq., and is a member of the Mercer County Bar Association. During law school Ms. Cotsalas was a practicing student attorney in the school's Securities Arbitration Clinic where she met with clients regarding potential FINRA arbitrations, represented clients if needed and prepared client claims against retail broker/dealers. Ms. Cotsalas is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey.

Cristal Holmes Bowie

Cristal Holmes-Bowie, Esquire, is a 1988 graduate of Rutgers Law School Newark, who has over 18 years experience representing state, county, municipal, utility, authority public bodies and boards. Ms. Holmes-Bowie has handled redevelopment transactions, PILOT agreements, procurement and bidding issues, architect's agreements, sustainable energy agreements, and construction agreements for a wide variety of multi-million dollar public works projects. She has experience also representing housing boards, redevelopment authorities and a library board in all matters. She has served as a court appointed commissioner in eminent domain cases. Her experience includes representing teacher's union members in employment related matters, and acting as a hearing officer. Ms. Holmes-Bowie handles all transactions on behalf of the firm's clients, and has litigated civil and criminal matters before administrative, state, and federal courts. Ms. Holmes-Bowie assists the Managing Partner in the day-to-day operations of the firm. Ms. Holmes-Bowie came to the firm from a solo practice, where she represented individuals in family, criminal, and real estate matters. She has also served as an assistant solicitor and assistant municipal prosecutor. Prior to her solo practice, she was an Assistant Deputy Public Defender where she gained extensive trial experience before the Superior Court in Essex, Union, Burlington and Camden Counties. Ms. Holmes-Bowie is admitted to practice before state and federal courts in the State of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court.

Morrison K. Fairbairn

Morrison Kent Fairbairn, Esquire, graduated from Widener University School of Law with honors in 2011. He handles civil matters for the State of New Jersey, City of Atlantic City, City of Newark, City of Trenton, City of Orange Township, NJEA's teacher's union members, and individual personal injury plaintiffs. Mr. Fairbairn represents the firm's clients in matters of state and federal civil litigation including trial, motions, briefs, oral arguments, depositions, and appellate practice. As a member of the Widener's Law Review, Moot Court, and Trial Advocacy honor societies at Widener Law, Mr. Fairbairn distinguished himself in trial advocacy and was the winner of Widener's annual multi-state trial competition. Mr. Fairbairn has clerked with attorney general offices in New Jersey, Delaware and Virginia as well as with Delaware's Office of the Public Defender. He is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
