Anna Gunsolley

Anna was born and raised on a small cattle farm outside of Dawson Creek. She moved to Victoria to go to college and spent 10 years there working in public practice. Once her first child was born, Anna decided to move back to Dawson Creek to settle down and raise her family. Anna earned her CGA designation in 2010. In 2016 she joined with the Kohlsmith family in creating the partnership Gunsolley Kohlsmith Corporation. As a Chartered Professional Accountant, it is Anna's passion to help new companies start up and grow to become successful in business; she prides herself in keeping clients informed and out of trouble. Anna is an active member in the Dawson Creek Rotary Club. With three children, Anna tries to maintain a balance between their busy schedules, doing good work and staying healthy and active. Anna's goal in life is to raise happy, conscientious kids, have enough time to volunteer and do good in the community and help as many clients be successful in business as possible.

Gary Kohlsmith

Gary and his wife adopted Grande Prairie as their home in 1972. After finishing University, he articled in Grande Prairie achieving his CA in 1974. In 1975 Gary and a fellow CA started an accounting practice which grew and continued to operate with Gary as a partner until he left public practice in Grande Prairie a few years ago. Gary has remained active in his career working as Chief Financial Officer for a company operating in Northwest Alberta and Northeast B.C. and more recently began working with Gunsolley Kohlsmith Corporation Chartered Professional Accountants where his experience gained in succession planning, estate planning and related income tax matters is utilized in serving firm clients. His years of experience in business consulting, tax planning, accounting and financial planning also provide valuable assistance for Gunsolley Kohlsmith Corporation. Gary believes in community service and has been on many committees over the years including Grande Prairie Curling Club Executive, Grande Prairie United Way Executive, CA Club Executive and various committees at St. Paul's United Church. Gary also served 6 years on CICA "Impact CA" committee, traveling to Ottawa several times in an effort to present CICA's position on various issues affecting the profession to elected federal politicians' and senior bureaucrats.

Randy Elfstrom

Randy was born and raised in Williams Lake BC. After graduating from high school, he went to work in a local CA firm where his father was a partner. Randy spent 17 years working in the firm and while there he earned an Associate Accounting Technologist diploma from the Certified Management Accountants of BC. This diploma is recognized by the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC. In 2004, Randy relocated to Kamloops and joined a predecessor firm of Gunsolley Kohlsmith Corporation. In over 30 years working in CA/CPA firms, Randy has worked with individuals and small to medium sized corporate clients in a variety of industries. Randy strives to work closely with all clients to make their bookkeeping, accounting, tax preparation, and compliance as useful, understandable, simple and stress free as possible. Randy has two grown sons and enjoys spending time with family. In his free time Randy enjoy sports, fitness and martial arts.

Shaun G. Kohlsmith

Shaun was born and raised in Grande Prairie where he earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 2004. Shaun became a partner at Davis Kohlsmith & Kay in 2005 and after leaving partnership in Grande Prairie Shaun was excited to join Anna in beautiful Dawson Creek. While in University, Shaun worked in the Oil and Gas, forestry and construction industries and has a good understanding of these economies. Shaun enjoys working one-on-one with clients and gaining an understanding of their unique business. Shaun believes owner operated business are the most valuable assets to our economy and offers unique insight into the current and future of theses operations by helping clients to better understand the financial side of their business. With over 20 years experience in public practice Shaun has vast knowledge in tax and financial planning, business consulting and accounting, as well as sales, mergers and acquisitions.
