Aaron is a 20-year civil engineering professional who became part of the Wightman team in 2013. He works with municipal and private clients and has completed multiple projects for Allegan County Road Commission, Van Buren County Road Commission, the City of Holland, and the City of Portage. His strengths include the design and preparation of roadway plans; pavement design; the design of storm sewers, sanitary sewers, and water mains; preparation of project specifications; and contract administration. This versatile Project Engineer also has knowledge of field surveying, construction inspection, and materials testing.

Adam Nave

Adrian Szczepaniec

Andrew Rudd

As a Senior Civil Engineer who joined Wightman in 2015, Andrew provides project management, design, and construction coordination for a range of municipal utility, transportation, and development projects. Typical projects include storm sewer and sanitary sewer collection and transmission systems, lift station design, road rehabilitation, and potable water distribution systems. He also performs utility system studies and assessments including comprehensive system studies and focused asset management plans. Andrew thrives in a team-oriented environment and excels at working on complex projects including those with challenging funding mechanisms.

Anna Van Strien

Her attention to detail is key to her success in ensuring that Wightman clients receive the highest quality final product. This Civil Engineering Associate is part of the inspection team, overseeing quality control involving excavation, preventative maintenance, hot mix asphalt, resurfacing, water main installation, and ADA compliance at construction sites. Anthony Kraiger

When you ask Anthony about Wightman, he will tell you it is a great company that strives to help people and communities. This land survey associate joined Wightman in 2012. He has more than 25 years of surveying experience and considers one of his specialties to be construction staking projects. He loves being part of the process of roads, buildings, and bridges being built, from the earliest stages until completion. Anthony manages setup and maintenance for the firm's survey crews and is responsible for estimating, survey research, calculations, drafting, survey adjustments, and legal descriptions.

Ashley Hilder

Ashley got her start with Wightman in 2005 and, during her nearly 15-year career, she has served in numerous survey capacities, including crew chief. As a senior production technician, she works with clients to understand their needs, provides them with information about the options Wightman can provide, and develops accurate proposals. Ashley takes the time to explain the "how" and "why" of the process so clients have a better concept of next steps, timelines, and what to expect. Bennie Boyd

Brian Barber

Brian rejoined Wightman in 2024 after previously dedicating nine years to the company. In his current role he is responsible for the planning, execution, and completion of projects while being mindful of schedule deadlines and budget constraints. He works with clients, stakeholders, and staff to allocate resources, manage teams, track progress, and identify and resolve any issues that arise during the surveying process. Casey Bourdo

It also encompasses working with clients to select furnishings and finishes that not only enhance functionality but that convey brand and personality. After more than a decade in the field, she still most enjoys seeing the joy on a client's face when they experience the finished product.

Christine Kennedy

One of Christine's proudest professional moments is having been part of a team thanked by renowned architect Michael Graves following his acceptance of the "1999 National Medal of Arts" award presented by then President Bill Clinton. With 28 years of experience, Christine joined the Wightman team based in its Royal Oak office in 2019. She provides architectural and interior design services to clients to help them fulfill their vision for their environments, enhance their surroundings, and realize optimal outcomes.

Courtney James

As a Construction Administrator, Courtney has one goal: the continual pursuit of excellence. What does that mean for her clients? It means she uses her 20+ years of experience in construction management and architecture to transition design projects from dream to done. She performs constructability document reviews before contractors even see them, lessening change orders and field issues, and serves as a liaison between the construction manager, contractors, and design team during bidding and construction. Her attention to detail and ability to strategize solutions and implement decisions means what was once on paper becomes reality. Frank Renaldi

A 30+ year engineering veteran, Frank joined Wightman in 2016 as a Project Manager. It's a role in which he assists his clients in selecting the most beneficial solutions to meet their municipal engineering, stormwater management, and road design needs. His background includes using various funding sources to implement infrastructure improvements including CDBG/RECD, MDEQ-DWRF, MDOT-Local Services, MDNR, Rural Development, local funds, and special assessments. He has designed soil and groundwater remediation systems, street projects including the roundabout at Gull and Ransom near the Kalamazoo office, numerous plats, condominium developments, site plans, and municipal utility systems for water supply, storm water treatment and retention, and wastewater collection and treatment. He is one of the primary engineers for the SAW program and a point of contact for solving civil engineering challenges. As the office technician for the engineering team in the Benton Harbor office, Ken manages local agency projects, oversees the inspection and testing team, and is the Wightman Safety Officer. His commitment to clients and his co-workers has not gone unnoticed as he is one of the past recipients of the Wightman Superstar Award.
