Robert Harris started working his way through law school in the 1970's as a carpet cleaner and worked for many different carpet cleaning companies. He was unsatisfied with the existing cleaning results and the available cleaning products on the market. That's when Harris began researching a better solution. He spent years researching and studying the chemical properties and reactions of cleaning formulas. In order to test his research and cleaning solutions, Harris cleaned numerous carpets and surfaces. Eventually, Robert Harris discovered the ideal cleaning formula. His unique carbonated solution delivered exceptional cleaning results while being safe and non-toxic. So, Harris founded Chem-Dry and the demand for his superior cleaning services grew! His entrepreneurial journey blossomed into a thriving success that has continued to grow since those first days in the early 70's. From the first small group of franchise locations, the Chem-Dry network has expanded over the decades and now has thousands of successful franchises throughout the world-including K & C Chem-Dry.
