Amber Mael

Amber has a wealth of knowledge and experience in training young horses up to competition horses. She is passionate in training career students and competition combinations and is a Pony Club examiner She competes her own horses regularly, currently jumping to Foxhunter. Amber is the Clubs Safe Guarding Officer. She also Coaches members in some of the training clinics

Ben Liles

Ben Liles- based at Moreton Ben (BHSIT) is a 4* International event rider who also competes at Advanced Dressage. He has competed at National & Regional Dressage Championships up to Advanced Medium and International level BE. In the UK he trains with Eric and Lizzel Winter, Targa Hammond and Nicola Buchanan. He coaches all levels from PC and RC members, all the way through to International Event and Dressage horses and their riders.

Di Kinsey

Seconded on to the Committee at the beginning of 2018, I was a keen equestrian in my early years and I rekindled my interest 11 years ago. We now have 3 ponies and my daughter is a very keen and active member of the PDRC. As well as the usual secretarial business, I help with the running of the rallies and I am to be found on duty at most rallies and Camps.

Jill Hole

A long-time supporter of the PDRC I was a riding member between 1973 and 2000, enjoying some of this time with my daughter as a member too. I joined the Committee in 2001 becoming membership secretary in 2003. I have seen many changes during this time but still enjoy being part of the club.

I had my first pony at 11, joined the PC and did everything possible on horseback until work got in the way. After 25 years at Heathrow Airport and then early retirement to Dorset my passion for horses was rekindled and I now own a scatty TB and 2 NF Ponies. I am enjoying the quiet hacking life. and can regularly be seen volunteering at Moreton-Russell Events and Moreton Equestrian Center.

Lisa Bonfield

Lisa Bonfield - Events Co-Ordinator specialising in helping our Mini and Junior members As a young child, I was part of Purbeck & District Riding club, and in more recent years all 3 of my girls have been active members. Joining the committee in 2022 I love using my organisational skills to run events and try my best to encourage all ages and abilities to have fun whilst learning. My girls definitely have the ‘Bug' for PDRC and we are affectionately known as "the Bonfields"

Millie Tonks

Millie Tonks- a BE and BHS Accredited Professional Coach for 16 years, Millie has over of 25 years Coaching experience. She is a current Member of the British Eventing Coach Development Programme with Yogi Breisner as her Mentor. Formerly competing at BE 3* and 4* level, she continues to compete in BE and at Medium Level BD. Millie is very approachable and has a talent for bringing out the best in horse and rider partnerships of all ages and abilities.

Moira Bonner

Moira Bonner- a BDCC Level 2 Dressage Specific Recognised Coach, Moira has been teaching in Dorset for over 25 years, specialising in the more nervous/novice rider to help them gain confidence. She also coaches more established partnerships to help improve their competition records. Actively competing in Affiliated Dressage, Moira most recently qualified for the Area Festival BD Championships

Robert Mael - Chairman

I have been a member of PDRC for many years, I have two daughters who have been riding for well over 20 years each. Amber is a riding instructor and Crystal, is a horse & dog Physiotherapist. I spent 15 years on Poole Pony Club Committee and was the team co-ordinator for 5 years and assisted running their Hunter Trials and other events. I am working hard trying to fill the shoes of Avril Derby the previous chairman and club stalwart. Jo Horsman - Club Secretary My family and I moved to Dorset a few years ago to try the River Cottage / self sufficiency lifestyle. Having ridden competitively in my earlier years, it wasn't long before horses began to populate my life again, discovering the thrill of riding XC in my late 40's. I can usually be spotted at PDRC and BE events with my laptop and trusty calculator in hand, more often than not alongside my daughter Abby. I am currently combining my two passions in life - horses and numbers - working for British Eventing, providing Finance Support to the CEO and the Board.

Scott Etches - Scott

Scott Etches - Scott is a Level 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship, he has competed at the under 25 BD Regional and National Championships, as well as at BS and BE. He currently trains with Dr Russell MacKechnie-Guire, founder of Centaur Biomechanics. Scott thrives on developing the confidence of riders in all age groups to equip them with the skills to enjoy their horses. He particularly loves to prepare the more competitive riders to enable them to achieve the best possible competition results.

Sue Russell

Although not a full committee member Sue gives up a lot of her time organising the Fundraising for the Club thus enabling members to enter the Official BRC competitions. All three of her daughters ride regularly and Rosie also instructs at the Club. Sue is very approachable and organises the General Training Rallies and Camps, and her annual Bingo night is always well attended and great fun.

Vic Pearson-Treasurer. - Treasurer

Originally a member of the PDRC in the 1970's I re-joined when I retired and became Treasurer in October 2016. Now in my late 60's I am still riding, and actively participate in all the ridden activities with my partner in crime, Bounty. As well as my duties as Treasurer, I help run the fb/website pages and also organise some of the SJ and XC Clinics.
