Salzgitter Flachstahl manufactures steel products that are optimized for their particular application. For example, we develop higher-strength isotropic thin sheets with very good forming and processing properties for the automotive industry. Their higher strengths enable the manufacture of components with lower sheet thickness but that nevertheless have the required crash properties. Innovations, such as the Pretex® method, a new surface-texturing method, deliver improvements in processing properties both during forming and coating.
