SKINT is specialised in pressure ulcers, IAD, skin tears, and other chronic wounds. We conduct research, deliver consultancy services, implement innovation, educate and design tools to support clinical practice globally... Our mission is to produce, disseminate and implement high- quality evidence that fosters a better understanding of maintaining and improving skin integrity and woundcare in all areas of healthcare. Partnering with patients, clinicians, scientists, industry, professional organisations and healthcare policy makers are core elements in our mission. We are committed to advance healthcare policy debate locally, nationally and internationally... We are a skin integrity and woundcare focused research group embedded in the University Centre for Nursing and Midwifery at Ghent University. We have a sustainable partnership with the School of health Sciences at Örebro University in Sweden. The research group is led by Prof. dr. Dimitri Beeckman.
