Jackson Chu became the tennis coach at Del Norte High in 2016. It is widely believed that Coach Jackson was offered this position because his daughter, Reina, was #1 Varsity player on the team. Coach Jackson had trained and coached Reina for 10 years, since she was 6 years old. Through countless hours of practice, lessons, fitness training, and tournaments, Coach Jackson had helped Reina become one of the top junior players in San Diego. In addition to coaching, Coach Jackson also runs tennis tournaments at Del Norte High. Coach Jackson brought UTR tournaments to San Diego with the 2016 Thanksgiving UTR. Since then, Coach Jackson has been running one UTR tournaments per month in the area. In the summer of 2017, Coach Jackson launched UTR Tennis League in San Diego. Coach Jackson learned to play tennis at the University of Minnesota, and quickly developed a passion for the sport. Coach Jackson introduced tennis to his wife and his whole family enjoys playing tennis. Coach Jackson holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Masters in Education, and MBA.
