Chris's creative spirit propelled him to pursue carpentry at Fanshawe College where he attained his techniques certificate in 2005. Chris has channelled his passion since then, building custom homes and cottages for eager clients that have a vision in mind. Chris continues to add to his decades-long experience in commercial construction by building awe-inspiring restaurants and stores.

Chris Shunda - President

As President, I wear many hats. My primary roles within the company are Business Development, Estimating, and the overall operations for the company. I am always thinking 6 months ahead and I like to stay involved with the Pre-construction aspect of our work. I have a continuous improvement mindset. Always looking for ways to make the business run better. My Ethos for the company is to provide a high quality end product for our clients, for a fair price. I like to look at clients as partners in business, rather than customers. I ensure Weekes Construction Group focuses on our project expertise so our client partners can concentrate on theirs. I started with this company 16 years ago, sweeping floors. Since then, I have worked through every aspect of the business from Site Supervision and Project Management to Estimating. Eventually, I was able to move into business development and operations. Staying Calm, Cool and Collected are the keys to my success under pressure. I have a passion for Art and Music and I'm driven to succeed with no option of failure. Equipped with a background in design and construction, Chris started as a carpenter and site supervisor. After spending 5 years at Weekes, Chris began estimating and project managing before becoming head estimator and Director business development, shortly thereafter. The consummate artist, Chris constantly finds ways to integrate his creative sensibilities into every project.
