WBH was established by the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in 2001 as a not-for-profit, arm's length Part 9 subsidiary to replace Fort McMurray Housing Authority. WBH's mission is ‘to collaborate to pursue safe and sustainable housing solutions for all residents of the region'. Our mission is built on the foundation of our mandate, as well as the core values of the corporation.
