Eddie Fitzgerald

Eddie is in Grade 12 at West Van Secondary and is also a valuable member of the Senior Boys Basketball Team. On the court, Eddie is known for his toughness and intensity, as he never backs down from a challenge. Eddie has been on the WVBC Coaching Staff for the past 3 years. Eddie's enthusiasm and energy is infectious and he is a favourite amongst WVBC Campers.

Greg Meldrum

Raised in West Vancouver, Greg began his basketball career as a "Highlander" at WVSS. In 1991, he was recruited by the University of Victoria where he played five years with the "Vikes." After graduating with a Kinesiology Degree and finishing as UVIC's 3rd all-time leading scorer, Greg embarked on a professional career which spanned for 10 years playing for teams in New Zealand, France, England, and Spain. Greg was also a member of the Canadian Men's Basketball Team and competed for his country in the 2002 World Championships in Indianapolis. When Greg hung up his basketball shoes in 2005, he attended UBC and earned his Bachelor of Education Degree and began his teaching career. In 2009, Greg was able to combine his love of basketball and passion for teaching when he founded the West Vancouver Basketball Club (WVBC). The club has grown steadily and Greg now provides coaching to over 800 local children each year. Greg has coached at West Van Secondary School for the past 10 years, highlighted by leading the 2014 WVSS Junior Boys Team to a Provincial title, the first in the school's history. Greg currently teaches at Ridgeview Elementary School and is the Head Coach for the SD45 Basketball Academy.

Harris Cameron

Harris is a student in Grade 12 at West Van Secondary. Harris is a starter on the WVSS Sr. Boys Basketball Team who are currently ranked in the Top 5 in BC. Harris began coaching at the WVBC when he volunteered as a Grade 7 student 5 years ago. Harris has also been in the WVS Premier Basketball Academy the past 5 years.Harris has a strong work ethic and is a true student of the game. He is a capable leader and a valuable member of the WVBC Coaching staff.

Oliver Grey

Oliver has been coaching at the WVBC for the last 5 years. He is a former West Van Secondary School student and a member of the Graduating Class of 2022. Ollie was a 5-year player for the "Highlanders" in high school and was a standout performer every year. Coach Ollie's calm demeanour and care for each camper make him a valuable member of the WVBC Coaching Staff. Ollie is currently studying Legal Studies at Capilano University.
