Danielle S. Coleman

Danielle is proud to be an associate attorney of Ziccarelli & Martello. She graduated from Lake Catholic High School in 1994 with honors. She was president of her senior class. In 1998, Ms. Coleman graduated from John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She volunteered for a number of organizations, including Harvest for Hunger and the Humility of Mary. Danielle earned her law degree from the University of Akron School of Law in 2001. She was involved in a number of organizations, including being the president of the Environmental Law Society and secretary of the Law Association of Women. She also was awarded the Outstanding Woman Award in 2001. Before joining Ziccarelli & Martello, Danielle focused her practice on asbestos defense and worker's compensation defense. She now primarily focuses her practice on representing injured workers. Danielle manages the majority of the firm's administrative settlements. She attends administrative hearings and has argued successfully in front of the Industrial Commission in Columbus, Ohio. She also shares responsibilities of the firm's worker's compensation litigation practice. Danielle and her husband, Chris, live in Bay Village, Ohio, and are the proud parents of a baby girl, McKenna.

Jim Martello

Selected by his peers as a Super Lawyer ( Cleveland Magazine) 5 years in a row. Mr. Martello settled the largest Worker's Compensation case in the history of the state of Ohio. He is a graduate of Cathedral Latin high school, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton in 1971 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the Cleveland- Marshall College of law in 1974. Mr. Martello has over 35 years of experience representing claimants in Worker's Compensation cases, Social Security disability cases and Personal injury cases throughout the state of Ohio. Mr. Martello has been representing injured workers before the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation and in Common Pleas Court for over 35 years. He has represented injured workers with cancer claims, death claims and Covid 19 claims. He has represented numerous injured workers with spinal injury claims including those with pre-existing conditions, shoulder injuries, eye injuries, hand and finger injuries, heart attack and stroke cases and repetitive injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome. Mr. Martello also represents disabled people in Social Security Disability cases before the Social Security Administration and in Federal District Court when necessary. Mr. Martello has been representing individuals in personal injury cases arising out of automobile accidents, construction site accident and medical malpractice for over 35 years. Mr. Martello is a member of the Cleveland Bar Association, Akron Bar Association and the Ohio Association of Justice (formerly the Ohio Academy of trial lawyers). Mr. Martello is licensed to practice law before all State and Federal courts in Ohio, including the United States Federal District Court and the United States Court of Appeals. Mr. Martello is married to Mary Ann and they are the parents Michael, Carrie, Daniel and Jeffrey and they have 3 grandchildren, Cecelia, Lucy and Jacob.

Larry Roach

Larry is a graduate of Chanel High School. He received a B.A. in economics from the University of Dayton and his J.D. from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 2000. Before going to law school, Larry served as a juror on a headline trial and worked for the Cuyahoga County Clerk of Courts. Before joining Ziccarelli & Martello, Larry provided representation in consumer collection cases throughout the state of Ohio and has personally appeared in a majority of the State's courts. In addition, he has argued cases before the full Industrial Commission, the Fourth, Eighth and Ninth District Courts of Appeal. He has also provided representation in intentional tort cases for exposure to toxic chemicals in the workplace, personal injury cases, retaliatory discharge, products liability including a crashworthiness case against the Ford Motor Company, Workers' Compensation, Social Security Disability, Felonies, OVI and Traffic. He has leveraged career-long involvement in the courts and legal system to offer innovative approaches, alternative solutions and desired resolutions.

Thomas Mayernik

Thomas is a lifelong resident of Lake County, where he still resides with his wife, Michelle, and their three children, Joshua, Matthew and Lauren. He is a graduate of Lake Catholic High School. Thomas graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1986 with a B.S. in business administration. He was a multiyear letterman in football, was the Lee Tressel Academic Excellence Award winner and was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa, a national leadership honor society. He graduated from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1989, where he was a member of the Jerome Prince Moot Court team, which won the award for the best brief. He was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, a national honor society which recognizes excellence in advocacy. Thomas has been in private practice since 1989. The first few years as an associate in a regional insurance defense firm, where he gained first- and second-chair trial experience. In 1993, he joined Ziccarelli, & Martello, where he has specialized as lead trial attorney in the areas of personal injury, worker's compensation, contracts, commercial transactions and probate matters, appearing in both state and federal courts. He is admitted to practice law in the state of Ohio, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, 6th Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court. He is active in his church, having served as a trustee and has served as an arbitrator and mediator in the local courts.
