ARCGEOMETER - Key Persons

Zackery Belanger spent the 1990s immersed in physics, the 2000s working as an acoustician, and the 2010s rethinking the relationships between architecture and acoustics. His expertise lies in the shaping of materials for sonic performance, from the small scale of pores and fibers to the large sweeping curves of rooms. He was the inaugural Researcher-in-Residence at the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) at Rensselaer - a building for which he was a design team member - and is the author of the essay Acoustic Ornament.
