Cristina S. Quantock joined Beaver Courie, Attorneys at Law in 2012. Prior to joining the law firm, Cristina served as a prosecutor in Hoke County. While there, Cristina prosecuted both misdemeanors and felonies in Juvenile Court. Cristina was also responsible for prosecuting a variety of offenses at the District Court level including driving while impaired (DWI), domestic violence, and various traffic offenses. After working for the State, Cristina transitioned into criminal defense in private practice. Since joining the firm, Cristina has worked on hundreds of cases at both the District and Superior Courts. Cristina has handled a wide array of cases including traffic, DWI defense, and serious felonies such as attempted murder and rape. She has exemplified her trial experience and earned a reputation for zealously advocating on behalf of her clients. With over 11 years of practice, Cristina has shown an attention to detail and a dedication to achieving the best possible results for her clients. She also participates in various local civic activities including volunteering with the Child Advocacy Center, having served on the board of Fayetteville Justice For Our Neighbors (JFON) nonprofit, and having served as Secretary of the Campbell University Cumberland County Alumni Association. David T. Courie

David Courie is one of Cumberland, Hoke County and Moore County's best known and relied upon trial lawyers. David is a Fayetteville native with deep roots in the region. He is the son of a well-known small businessman and a highly regarded and loved, 40 year veteran school teacher. David joined the firm in 1997 as an associate to founding partner Jerry Beaver, following his work in Washington D.C., as a Special Assistant to North Carolina's Senior Senator and his completion of law school at Campbell University. Jerry Beaver is one of North Carolinas best known and well-respected trial attorneys. He came to Fayetteville in 1973 from UNC law school and began work as an Assistant Public Defender. During his years of practice, Jerry has achieved many honors and distinctions. He has been listed in "Best Lawyers in America" for more than twenty years and as one of North Carolinas Legal Elite by North Carolina Business Magazine since the inception of the directory. Since 2003, he has been selected for recognition in the publication North Carolina Super Lawyers, a listing of lawyers made up of 5% of North Carolina lawyers chosen through a rigorous process of polling, peer review and12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement and, in 2008, was listed in the Top 100 North Carolina Lawyers who received the highest point totals in the magazines nomination, research and blue ribbon review process. In October 2008, Jerry was inducted as a fellow of Litigation Counsel of American, an honorary association of lawyers selected from among only 3% of the national lawyers. Connor (1989), which established a nationwide standard for establishing 4 th Amendment violations in police misconduct cases and also served as lead counsel in the precedent-setting Spell v. McDaniel (4 th Cir., 1989), winning a $900,000 jury verdict in a police brutality action which, to this day, serves as a national standard for establishing municipal liability for police misconduct. In the year 2012 Jerry teamed with daughter Laura E. Beaver in the defense of the plant manager of the House of Raeford Farms, Inc. in a criminal prosecution by the Environmental Protection Division of the United States Department of Justice in a jury trial before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina where the plant manager was acquitted of all 14 counts of violation of the Clean Water Act for which he was charged. Hal W. Broadfoot Jr.

Hal W. Broadfoot Jr. has worked with the firm since the summer of 2000, after his first year at Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. During his second and third years at law school, he did occasional research projects for us during the school year; he also clerked here in the summer after his second year. In 2002, after graduating from Campbell, Hal joined the firm as an associate and was admitted to the North Carolina Bar. Hal has a varied practice, concentrating in civil cases. He has represented clients with problems as diverse as international child abduction, copyright infringement, and ephedra poisoning. He drafts wills and undertakes estate administration. He takes on business cases for plaintiffs and defendants. He has appeared in State and federal appellate courts, including oral argument before the Fourth Circuit United States Court of Appeals. Mostly, however, Hal's interest is in and his practice is devoted to helping injured people recover damages from those who hurt them. He dedicates much of his time to automobile liability cases and other cases involving serious injury. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Hal worked in the printing industry and as a fine and graphic artist. You've probably seen his work around Fayetteville-paintings or prints of his pen & ink drawings or business logos. He still draws and paints when he can, but photography is taking up more and more of his time outside of work. He is active in his church, both in his local parish, St. John's Episcopal Church, where he has served in many leadership roles, and in the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina. He is a long-time Kiwanian and has served as a board member of several civic and cultural organizations, like Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, The Arts Council, and SALT (Sandhills Area Land Trust). He regularly speaks to local organizations about topics including birds, nature, and history. Hal also writes a long-running column in the Fayetteville Observer, "About Birds," which combines his interests in writing, teaching, and of course, birding. Hal is a native of Fayetteville. His father, grandfathers, and great-grandfather practiced law in Cumberland County before him. He matriculated at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall of 1980 and graduated in the spring of 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After college, he owned and operated a retail art and office supply store.
