BRONX EXCELLENCE

The Bronx Charter School for Excellence (BCSE), also known as Bronx Excellence, was established in 2004, in the Parkchester neighborhood of the Bronx, NY. Bronx Excellence is a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School Award honoree - the U.S. Department of Education's highest honor for schools across the country. In 2015 Bronx Excellence was renamed Bronx Excellence 1 Elementary and Bronx Excellence 1 Middle. Additionally, Excellence Community Schools, Bronx Excellence's charter management (or parent) organization, opened the Connecticut affiliate school Stamford Excellence, along with Bronx Excellence 2 in Morris Park, Bronx Excellence 3 and Bronx Excellence 4 in Wakefield, and Bronx Excellence 5 in Tremont. Our affiliate schools are based on the K-8 Blue Ribbon model of the original Bronx Excellence and will grow by one grade level per year until they become full service K-8 academies...
