Ektara is Takshila's Centre for Children's Literature and Art. At Ektara, we develop and disseminate works of literature for children between the age-group of 0 to 18 years. The literature, thus developed, is in the form of magazines, books, diaries, posters and poem cards. These are available for purchase on our website... Like, Amaltas makes flowers, ants make way, waters make water - Ektara makes books. Together. In partnership. Weaves magazines. At Ektara, you will find a hive of books in the making. A bunch of books seasoned with the different language dreams and fragrant with sweat. Ektara houses an illustrators' Riyaaz. A childhood home. Children are its natural owners. Sometimes adults also revisit it. We are decorating this house with story recesses and roofs of poetry. So, it remains lit by illustrations. In bloom, forever... At Ektara, we make books, curate magazines, host Srijanpeeth and Riyaaz, and house an incomparable resource centre for Children's Literature and Art.
