The Institute for Energy Plant Operations purpose is to promote professionalism and safety of members through training, certification and validation of their credentials and skills. Our members are individuals responsible for the management, operation and maintenance of processes and equipment related to converting various forms of energy into useful work or to manufacture a product. Individuals working in this dynamic field of expertise manage, operate and maintain boilers, steam turbines, combustion turbines, electric generation equipment, oil refinery distillation plants, chemical plants, refrigeration and air conditioning systems along with various auxiliary mechanical systems to provide utilities for buildings or industrial processes.
