CARE RESEARCH MANCHESTER BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH CENTRE

Our operations group includes local clinical and nursing research leads working in relevant specialty fields, such as emergency medicine (Dr Ahmed Ali), critical care (Dr Andrew Claxton) and major trauma. Our acute research delivery team (ARDT) deliver a broad portfolio of research activity, prioritised by patients and clinicians. The ARDT includes multiple enthusiastic band 6 research nurses, research practitioners and research assistants. The ARDT have been shortlisted for multiple regional awards, including Team of the Year at the last NIHR GM CRN awards 2024... We are partners in the Greater Manchester Patient Safety Research Collaboration (GM PSRC) which is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) to work with patients, carers and health & social care staff and providers to develop and test ways of doing things (interventions) to improve patient safety across four key themes.
