Scoccolo Brothers Excavating started in 1951 when Armondo Scoccolo and his brother John Scoccolo began providing grading services to the local home builders in the area. The humble beginnings started out with one dozer and a simple sign on 154th Street in SeaTac providing site work to local builders. In 1959, Armondo decided to pursue public highway work, working for the local contracting community building the freeways throughout the State of Washington. Armondo initially installed topsoil on the slopes of the newly construction highways and sprayed the slopes with hydroseed to allow grass to grow on them. For many years, Scoccolo Construction provided high quality topsoil spreading and seeding services up and down the major highway corridors in Washington servicing all of the local highway contractors.
