VAAD HADIN V'HORAAH - Key Persons
Rabbi Kahan, is the Rav of Congregation Khal New City. He is the founder of the Bais Din Vaad Hadin V'horaah. He was the Rosh Kollel of Kollel Chasdie Dovid specializing in Yoreh Deah and Choshen Mishpat. He did shimush and dayanus in the Bais Din of Rabbi Asher Weiss, Rabanut Petach Tikva and Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. Rabbi Kahan is a close talmid of Rabbi Meir Stern and learned in Brisk by Rav Avrohom Yehoshua Soloveitchik.
Rabbi Gartner currently leads the Eretz Yisroel branch of Vaad Hadin V'Horaah. He is a Dayan at Bais Din Darchei Torah led by Rabbi Asher Weiss and Bais Din Zedek Yerushalayim in the old city led by Rabbi Avigdor Nebenzahl. He is the Author of the renown safer כפייה בגט and chief editor and contributor to תבונות publications. He was a close talmud of Rabbi Abba Berman.
