West Virginia Federal Credit Union was organized in October 1965 as a not for profit, member owned financial cooperative chartered as a corporation under the laws of the United States, operating under charter no. 17057 of the National Credit Union Administration pursuant to the provisions of the Federal Credit Union Act. The board of directors is elected each year in accordance with the regulators for the safety and soundness of the Credit Union. As such, it is charged to monitor the efforts of the Credit Union's management activities to ensure the Credit Union maintains its sound financial condition. The board of director's work in partnership with the CEO in an open and honest relationship built on mutual trust and respect. The CEO shall provide strategic direction in the planning, implementation and operation of the Credit Union. The CEO shall assess, organize and control the Credit Union's risk by establishing a qualified management team to efficiently and effectively carry out..
