Brian Chruscial is a Pennsylvania Certified Public Accountant and serves as a Partner in our Pittsburgh office. He provides auditing, accounting, and consulting service to Governmental entities, Not-for-Profit entities, and Employee Benefit Plans. His clients on the government side include a variety of local governments including counties, cities, townships, boroughs, school districts, and operating authorities. Brian's not-for-profit clients include human services providers, culture and recreation entities, and various foundations and trusts. Brian also has extensive experience with 401(k), 401(a), and 403(b) employee benefit plans.
Brian has spent his entire career with ZA, starting in 2008. He is a member of the AICPA, PICPA, GFOA-PA, and PANO. Brian is a frequent speaker at Pennsylvania Controller Conferences, GFOA-PA, and firm sponsored training.
Brian graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
Outside of work Brian enjoys biking, skiing, and hiking with his family, volunteering for his church, and attending Pittsburgh sporting events.

Cory Johnson is a Pennsylvania Certified Public Accountant and serves as a Partner in our Harrisburg office. He provides auditing, accounting, and consulting services to Public Sector clients. His clients include a variety of government and non-profit organizations including agencies and departments of the state, counties, authorities, school districts, townships, boroughs, towns and various types of non-profit entities.
Prior to joining ZA, Cory spent several years working for a Big Four accounting firm. He is a member of the AICPA and PICPA. He is a frequent speaker at Pennsylvania Controller Conferences and firm sponsored training. He is also a member of the GFOA Special Review Committee for CAFR's.
Cory graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Lycoming College.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering for various organizations, many outdoor activities and coaching wrestling.

Deborah Bacon is a licensed CPA in Pennsylvania and practices with Zelenkofske Axelrod LLC. Debi specializes in providing audit and advisory services to not-for-profit organizations and local governments. She is involved in monitoring and reviewing audit engagements and quality control functions.
Debi graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.

Derek Schroeder joined Zelenkofske Axelrod, LLC in 2004. He is a Pennsylvania Certified Public Accountant and serves as a Senior Manager in our Harrisburg office. He provides auditing, accounting, and consulting service to Public Sector clients. His clients include a variety of government organizations including counties, authorities, school districts, boroughs and not-for-profit entities.
Derek is a member of the AICPA, PICPA, GFOA, GOFA-PA and the ACFE. He has also presented at several of ZA sponsored trainings across the state.
Derek graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, traveling, volunteering for various organizations and following his favorite sports teams.

Frank Posega is a Pennsylvania Certified Public accountant and serves as a Senior Manager in our Pittsburgh office. Frank joined Zelenkofske Axelrod LLC in January of 2022. He provides auditing and accounting services to public sector clients. His clients include a variety of government organizatoins, including counties, authorities, school districts and not-for-profit entities. He also has extensive experience with employee benefit plan audits.
Prior to joining ZA, Frank spent more than 15 years at BDO USA providing auditing and accounting services to clients in the manufacturing & distribution, technology, life sciences and not-for-profit industries.
Frank is a member of the AICPA and PICPA. He graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, traveling, golfing and biking.

George Jurcevich is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Government Financial Manager who serves as a Manager in the Pittsburgh Office. He provides auditing and accounting services to local government and not-for-profit entities, and is a frequent speaker at ZA sponsored continuing professional education events. In addition, George is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).
George graduated from Washington & Jefferson College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.
Jared Ewing is a licensed CPA in Pennsylvania an practices with Zelenkofske Axelrod LLC in our Greensburg and Pittsburgh offices. His focus is primarily on providing audit, accounting, and tax services to government and not-for-profit organizations, and advising and preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Prior to joining ZA, Jared worked for other CPA firms serving governmental, not-for-profit, and private sector organizations. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Jared graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Grove City College.

Jeff has been responsible for the audits of numerous governmental and not-for-profit entities. Many of Jeff's governmental and not-for-profit audits include the audit of the client's employee benefit pension plans.
Jeff served as an Auditor and Deputy Controller in a county controller's office. He also served as Controller of the same county. In those capacities, Jeff gained extensive knowledge and expertise in the operation of governmental units.
Jeff has been a frequent speaker on topics at conferences sponsored by the Pennsylvania County Controller's Association, County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania and Government Finance Officers Association, as well as firm sponsored seminars.
Jeff is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Government Finance Officers Association, and the Association of Government Accountants.

Kayla DeMar joined Zelenkofske Axelrod LLC in 2013. She is a Pennsylvania Certified Public Accountant and serves as a Senior Manager in our Harrisburg office. She is responsible for managing client assignments and projects for Public Sector clients. Kayla has extensive experience in financial and compliance audits of governmental clients including counties, school districts, townships, and not-for-profit entities.
Kayla is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). She has also participated at several ZA sponsored trainings across the state.

Kimberly Stank is a Pennsylvania and Maryland Certified Public Accountant and serves as a Partner in our Harrisburg and Delaware offices. She provides auditing, accounting, and consulting service to Public Sector clients. Her clients include a variety of government organizations including agencies and departments of the state, counties, authorities, school districts, townships, boroughs, towns and not-for-profit entities.
Prior to joining ZA, Kim spent several years working for a Big Four accounting firm. She is a member of the AICPA, PICPA, AGA. She is a frequent speaker at Pennsylvania Controller Conferences, Mid-Atlantic Intergovernmental Audit Forum, Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Training, and firm sponsored training. She has led several trainings on the Uniform Guidance.
Kim graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting from Kutztown University.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, volunteering for various organizations, cheering on her children, and reading.

Michele O'Leary is a Pennsylvania Certified Public Accountant and serves as a Principal in our Pittsburgh office. Michele has over 25 years of experience in public accounting and has specialized in the Public Sector for 15 of those years. She provides auditing, accounting and consulting services to Public Sector clients. Her clients include a variety of nonprofit and governmental organizations. Prior to joining ZA, Michele spent several years working with a second-tier accounting firm.
In addition to her professional work with nonprofits, Michele volunteers at several organizations and currently serves as the finance committee chair for the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh, board member for Contemporary Craft, and advisory board member for Deer Valley YMCA Family Camp. In addition, Michele volunteers as an instructor with the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management.
Michele graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. In her spare time, Michele enjoys spending time at her kids' sporting events, skiing, kayaking, backpacking, traveling and anything that gets her outside and moving.

Timothy Mirra is a Pennsylvania licensed CPA who practices public accounting through Zelenkofske Axelrod LLC. Tim was recently promoted to Partner in our firm.
Tim has extensive experience in financial and compliance audits of governmental entities including County, Municipality, and School Districts and not-for-profit organizations. He has experience in preparing financial statements that have qualified and received the certificate for excellence in financial performance. In addition, Tim has experience in auditing pension plans.
Prior to joining ZA, Tim was a Senior Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. In that position, Tim supervised staff accountants as in-charge on both public & non-public engagements in Banking, Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Utility industries.
Tim is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Tim attends PICPA and PANO conferences. In addition, Tim is a member of the firm's Audit Process Committee as well as a frequent speaker for firm training seminars. Tim is also a volunteer for Junior Achievement.
Tim graduated from Wilkes University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He meets the Continuing Professional Education requirements of the firm, the AICPA, and the Government Auditing Standards.
In his free time, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and participating in triathlons.
