Alice Richardson

Alice is an embroidery designer and graduate of the Royal College of Art. She specialises in experimental and innovative couture hand embroidery with a mixed media and sculptural approach. This inventive approach to her work was recognised by her winning the WGSN Global Fashion Awards Swarovski Student Prize in New York in 2011. Notable clients include Diane Von Furstenberg, Peachoo+Krejberg, English Eccentrics and Astrid Anderson. She is currently working with London couture houses Guynel, Veni Veci Couture and Shirin Cashmere. Recent research projects include a collaboration with Mexican fashion designer Carla Fernandez entitled ‘ReMex'; a regeneration project sponsored by the British Council. On top of this, Alice is the Course Leader for the Textiles MA at London College of Fashion. Alice has worked as a consultant at The London Embroidery Studio since 2011 and is now sharing her expertise in the classes that she teaches here.

Andrew Kenny - CEO, Founder

Andrew Kenny is the founder and CEO of London Embroidery Studio, now a leading embroidery design and production company. Andy established the studio in 2007 after graduating from Goldsmiths and the Royal College of Art, where he honed his skills in textile art, design, and embroidery.

Charlotte Relf

Charlotte is another talent among our Embroidery Designers, known for her acute eye for detail and her impeccable standard of craftsmanship. Her background in Textile-Art infuses each piece with a synthesis of bold, graphic styles interwoven with rich multi-media textures, delivering a visual spectacle in every design. A proud alumni of Birmingham City University where she majored in embroidery, Charlotte's prowess extends beyond design. She has showcased her exceptional works in both solo and group exhibitions, a testament to her unmatched skills in the field. More than just an embroidery designer, Charlotte also wears the hat of our trusted quality controller, ensuring that every creation leaving the London Embroidery Studio not only looks exquisite but also stands the test of time. Her dual roles underscore her commitment to excellence and her unique blend of artistry and precision.

Jenny Baverstock

Jenny is one of our most esteemed Embroidery Designers, weaving threads of expertise and passion into every creation. She trained at Edinburgh University and the prestigious Royal College of Art. Her background in couture fashion infuses her designs with a rich tapestry of style and innovation. Jenny is not just a master of Irish machine and digital machine embroidery; she is also a gifted hand embroiderer. Her signature style exudes a delicate and romantic essence, marked by soft, considered touches and intricate 3D fabric manipulations. This blend of traditional and contemporary techniques makes Jenny's contributions to the London Embroidery Studio truly unique and treasured.

Lucy Howe

Lucy Howe is our Studio Manager and main point of contact. She manages all studio projects and leads the team to success. Her organizational skills and approachable personality make her a valuable asset to our team, ensuring high-quality results for our clients.

Wiktoria Godzik

Wiktoria is one of our passionate Studio Assistants. With a background in textiles from Bournemouth University, she brings her skills and enthusiasm to the studio. Wiktoria has also gained experience at Hand & Lock, further honing her embroidery expertise.
