VOICE THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Primarily, we are a charity that focuses on Deaf, Blind and Deaf-Blind children, and young adults. We are pursuing the equality and integration of these children and youths into everyday aspects of life. We are based in Northampton, with founder members that have been actively supporting the Deaf and Blind community for nearly a decade. For instance, our inclusive cinema programme has helped over 80,000 Deaf and Blind children throughout the UK to gain true access to the cinema based upon the principle of total communication... There are currently 10 million people in the UK who have some form of hearing loss with more than 900,000 who are severely or profoundly deaf. There are 2 million who have sight loss and a further 250,000 with both hearing and sight loss. The majority of these people feel disenfranchised and overlooked, and in truth, most of them have been.
