Julia Turner

Julia is committed to supporting you through the entire judicial process, so that what is often a challenging journey, becomes as clear and straightforward as possible. She believes in taking a holistic approach to resolving your case while minimizing the impact it has on other areas of your life. Julia received her law degree from Thompson Rivers University in 2023. She maintained Dean's Honour List standing throughout law school and was awarded the Gregory S. Pun K.C. Scholarship for Advanced Legal Research and Writing. Julia's interest in improving her oral advocacy skills led her to participate in the prestigious Kawaskimhon Moot in Montreal, QB where she successfully negotiated with law students from across Canada. Julia's academic work included an examination of the current model for policing of Indigenous communities in British Columbia. Before law school, Julia gained valuable experience working in the Crown Counsel office as a legal assistant. She also volunteered at a local non-profit organization in the Downtown Eastside where she provided legal support services to low-income individuals and victims of intimate partner violence. Julia looks forward to combining her past experience with that of her with colleagues and mentors to develop her foundational knowledge further. Julia is currently an Articling student with Waugh & Associates. Kathleen Kerr-Donohue

  • Criminal Defence Lawyer
Raised on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Kathleen has always had a passion for criminal law. A former designer, Kathleen left a successful career in design to obtain a criminology degree in order to pursue a profession where she could make a greater impact on people's lives. Kathleen attended law school at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law. While in law school, Kathleen participated in the University Law Centre, conducting her own caseload of clients and files. During her time in Winnipeg, MB, Kathleen gained valuable experience in and out of the courtroom articling at a leading criminal defence law firm. Today, Kathleen practices criminal law as a criminal defence lawyer at Waugh & Associates. Following through on her passions, Kathleen ensures her work, ethics and integrity are always guided by her client's best interests, allowing her to establish trust and rapport with every client she serves. She is diligent and meticulous in her advocacy and committed to always pursuing the best outcome for her client while supporting them through every step of the judicial process.
