A.J. Dimaline was born in San Antonio, Texas in January 1962. He has the distinction of being the first baby born in San Antonio that year. He joined the firm in 1997 and became a shareholder in 2002.

Amanda E. Carollo

Amanda Esparza Carollo was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She attended Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where she majored in Neuroscience. Prior to attending law school, she worked at Dechert LLP in New York City for several years focusing on complex product liability litigation. Augustus T. Denham

Augustus T. Denham was born in McAllen, Texas and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. He joined the firm in 2020. When he's away from the office, Augustus enjoys mountain biking, playing sports, hunting, and fishing. He particularly enjoys Quail hunting and fishing the bays of Texas for Redfish and Trout. Brittany K. Delgado

Brittany K. Delgado was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville, graduating summa cum laude and receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History in 2013. She attended St. Mary's School of Law in San Antonio, where she participated in both civil and criminal clinics gaining first hand litigation experience. Additionally, she interned for the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals Staff Attorney's Office. After graduation, Brittany remained in San Antonio and began practicing civil litigation. She practices first-party insurance defense, third-party insurance defense, personal injury, auto, and construction defect. She has represented design professional, contractors and homeowners in a construction defect matters. Brittany has handled both personal injury and construction defect/property damage cases in state and federal courtrooms across the State of Texas. Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She loves to travel, read and workout. Caitlin E. Bratt

Caitlin Bratt was born and raised in Upstate New York. She attended college at State University of New York at Oswego where she studied Public Justice and Political Science. Caitlin received her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in May 2013. After being admitted to the State Bar of Texas, she worked for a large law firm in Corpus Christi representing Plaintiffs in personal injury cases. Caitlin was later employed by a San Antonio law firm where she primarily defended commercial clients involved in personal injury litigation. Caitlin has experience handling various types of personal injury litigation claims, including premises liability, motor vehicle collisions, and commercial trucking accidents. Caitlin enjoys exploring San Antonio and cheering on its local sports teams in her free time. She also enjoys spending time with her cat and two dogs. Celia E. Guerra

Celia Guerra was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She joined the firm in 2014 and became a partner in 2023. Prior to joining the firm, Celia was an associate attorney with a Corpus Christi-based defense firm. She has defended individuals and businesses across the State in cases involving personal and commercial vehicular accidents, work-related fatalities, premises and product liability claims and commercial litigation claims. She has experience in all aspects of litigation, from pre-litigations matters to trial and appeal in both state and federal court. Esther Mahon Marks

Ms. Marks was born in County Galway, Ireland and moved to New York with her family as a child. She has been with the firm for over 30 years and has been a Legal Administrator since 1992. Ms. Marks is responsible for the day to day operations of the firm as well as the responsibility for staff personnel. Esther enjoys traveling, dancing and Pilates.

Jason L. West

Jason West was born in Fremont, Nebraska in June 1973. He joined the firm in 2005. He enjoys spending time with his family, as well as playing recreational basketball and softball. He is Deacon at his church, in charge of adult curriculum. Jason is married and has a daughter. John A. Guerra

John A. Guerra was born in McAllen, Texas and was raised on his family's cattle ranch in Starr County, Texas. He interned at the firm in 1987 and became an associate in 1989. He later became a shareholder in 1994 and President of the firm in 1996. He continues to manage the affairs of the firm today, while remaining active as lead trial counsel on a full docket of cases. Since John became President of the firm in 1996, the firm has enjoyed consistent growth over each of the years and currently, is the largest San Antonio-based insurance defense firm active throughout all of Central and South Texas. Efficient planning, together with strategic development, has propelled the firms continued progress throughout the years, which is expected to continue well into the future. John has appeared as lead counsel on over 2,000 cases since 1996. Whether cases are concluded by settlement, dismissal or trial, John has ensured closure of cases to each of his client's satisfaction. John has tried cases of all types throughout South and Central Texas, including insurance bad faith, vehicular accident, commercial trucking, premises liability, construction defect, product liability, fire, employment and commercial litigation cases. "If you insure it, chances are we've tried it." When he's away from the office, John enjoys spending quality time with his two boys. He also enjoys hunting and fishing. In addition to hunting whitetail deer, dove and quail in South Texas, he has also hunted elk in Montana, Colorado and New Mexico. He has fished the bays and deep seas of Texas, but has also fished off the shores of Alaska and the fresh waters of Canada. He is an avid road and mountain biking cyclist, logging thousands of miles annually with some occasional racing through the Texas Bicycle Racing Association. Mark Strandmo was born in Mankato, Minnesota. He was raised and attended college there. He joined the firm in 1995 and became a shareholder in 2000.

Matthew R. Espinosa

Matthew Espinosa was born in San Antonio, Texas. He attended college at Our Lady of The Lake University receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2018. He attended St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio where he participated as President of the Criminal Law Association and as a Staff Writer for The Scholar: St. Mary's Law Review on Race and Social Justice. He joined the firm in November of 2023. When he is away from the office, Matthew enjoys playing basketball, watching sports, fishing, grilling, and traveling. He particularly enjoys spending time with his wife and two Mini-Goldendoodles. Michael D. Joy, II

Michael Don Joy, II, was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and raised in South Texas. Michael attended St. Mary's University at San Antonio, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2001, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Michael received his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas, in 2004. Since graduating from law school, Michael has practiced primarily as an insurance defense attorney, with extensive experience in civil litigation of personal injury claims, premises liability claims, commercial litigation claims and workers compensation claims. When he has the opportunity, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Michael is also an avid outdoorsman, participating in a variety of outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing and riding his ATV along the riverbeds and trails of the Texas Hill Country. Robert F. 'Bob' Scheihing

Bob Scheihing is a lifelong Texan. He was born in Houston and grew up primarily in Ft. Worth. He is a graduate of St. Mary's School of Law. Bob has handled liability claims of all types as well as medical and legal malpractice, and construction defect litigation. Over his career, he has also focused on defending insurance companies in first party bad faith claims related to fire losses, hurricanes, mold, hail and wind. Bob also serves as a mediator in all type of claims. Bob and his wife Karin, have six children, a beautiful granddaughter and four dogs. He spends his spare time running and watching football. Scott P. Jones

Scott Jones was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina in July 1955. He joined the firm as of counsel in 2009 and became a partner in 2013. Scott grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania and after graduating from law school, he joined the United States Army. While in the Army, he went through the Judge Advocate General's program and practiced with the U.S. Army Physical Evaluation Board, representing the interests of soldiers injured in the line of duty in over 200 cases. For twenty-three (23) years thereafter, he managed his own boutique 4-6 attorney law firm, focusing on trying cases in the area of insurance defense, general negligence, trucking defense, product liability, bad faith 1st party, and premises liability. Scott is married and has a daughter and a son. Thomas A. Mailloux II

Tom Mailloux was born in Harvey, Illinois and grew up in the Greater Chicagoland area. He attended undergraduate school at St. Louis University, in St. Louis, Missouri, where he received his bachelor degree with a double major in History and Philosophy. He then earned his juris doctorate at the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Tom is licensed in both Arizona and Texas. He joined the firm in 2002 and became a shareholder in 2014. His practice focuses mainly on construction defect litigation, representing general contractors, subcontractors, architects and engineers, in cases alleging defective construction and or design of various projects. He has represented contractors and designers in cases involving the design and construction of apartment complexes, hospitals, schools (elementary, high school and colleges), office buildings, single-family residences, warehouses, surgical centers, veterinary clinics, etc. He handles disputes in both State and Federal Courts, as well as before arbitration panels. He is a member of the DRI and its Construction Law Committee. Tom is married to his wife, Lisa. He is an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Black Hawks.
