CESTA

The Center for Excellence in Sensing Technologies and Analytics (CESTA) brings together experts on sensor development and sensing analytics from diverse departments and units of the University of Minnesota. CESTA expertise covers a very broad range of sensing techniques, ranging from acoustic and mechanical to electromagnetic and gravitational-wave detectors, with a variety of applications in science, engineering, medicine, and industry. It also features numerous approaches to data analytics using sensor arrays, including Bayesian inference and machine learning techniques. The goal of CESTA is to highlight the sensing research at the University of Minnesota, to enable the exchange of ideas and sensing techniques across different fields, and to serve as a center of expertise that caters for diverse sensing problems and needs of industry, government, and society.
