Asya Margaryan

In 2007 she was awarded the Ministry of Education scholarship to further her dance studies at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts here in Singapore. During her time at NAFA she had many opportunities to work with numerous great choreographers such as, Larry Clark (Purchase Conservatory of Dance, New York) Lionel Araya (L.A Dance Connection, Los Angeles/Singapore), Rose Borromeo (Spanish Dance Company, Singapore) and many others. Besides specialising in classical ballet, jazz and contemporary dance, Asya's dance talent also includes other genres such as Flamenco, Tap, Street Dance and Hip Hop. Upon graduation Asya decided to further her passion for dance through teaching where she can continue to impart her knowledge and love for dance to young children as well as adults. She has taught in China and Cambodia and has spent the last 10 years teaching here in Singapore. Asya prides herself in always creating a strong rapport with her students and thrives in making sure her classes are always creative, fun and encouraging. She is thrilled to be a part of the team here at DATD!

Laura-Jane Verga

Laura-Jane first began to dance at the age of 2.5 years old, in Kent, England. Since then, her hobby has become her career and passion, taking her all over the globe. After completing her professional training in London, she has spent the last 9 years performing for numerous performance companies, including performing on cruise ships as a dancer/singer, as well as for ‘The Venetian' in Macau. Whilst in the UK Laura-Jane has performed for many companies, some of which include - GMTV on the UK TV Channel ITV3, Sky One's Advert in the TV series ‘Got To Dance', and for ITV's birthday spectacular in aid of Prince Charles's 60th Birthday, ‘We Are Most Amused'. Throughout her many years of performing however, Laura-Jane has also taught many children, enabling her to pass on her love for dance. In 2015, she relocated to Singapore, where she spent 2 years teaching for a local dance school. Here she dedicated her time to teaching students of all ages, as well as choreographing for numerous shows, performances and competitions, something in which she has thoroughly enjoyed. In 2017, she decided to split her time a little more evenly between performing and teaching, Laura-Jane created "Dance At The Difference" to establish her own style of classes for children. She has designed a wonderful syllabus focusing on nurturing little minds with a whole lot of fun and imagination included!
