Anne Arbor is a city in Michigan that is located in Washtenaw County, MI. It is ranked as the sixth biggest city in Michigan. The population is about 114,5000 if not more. The city has a few nicknames that the locals call it by, like "A-two," "Tree Town," or "The People's Republic of Ann Arbor." The name Ann comes from both of the founders of the city who were named Anne. The city is mainly known for being home to one of the greatest universities in America, The University of Michigan. Much of the city's economy comes from the university itself. With over 30,000 employees in the university, the tech companies shift towards it for more opportunities. Because the university is a great opportunity for a good future, lots of students from all over the nation apply and attend the new semester. Which means there are always new students moving into the city. Although it is exciting and fun to move to a new city to attend college, it can sometimes be hard since students are away from home and on their own. The best option is for students to at least transport their vehicles with them so will easily be able to get around the city and explore!
